Played both... CoH/CoV is a good starter mmorpg - things do get a bit repetitive after a while WoW is better looking (newer) and is more fantasy based, more expansive (will probably suck away more of your time)
btw I think there are ways to try both games for free if not cheap for a week or so... WoW has a friend invite and the 1.99 trial at best buy/gamestop the CoH / CoV games had a free trial, can't find an active link anywhere

I kinda feel like I'm getting ripped off when I buy live arcade games, specially since I bought some of them in collections for other systems... But it does give a good opportunity to play a 4 player game ala gauntlet with strangers. Remember playing with strangers in the Arcade.... I think it emulates that feel a lil more (for better or worse) than past releases where you need to have someone over for Multiplayer...
