The accounts themselves will be able to carry over, the games you purchases wont. As far as i know those games are designed for those consoles so unless these new conesoles are fully backwards compatible i dont see you being able to carry over games.

Your games will stick with their console era. Not a big deal. Its always been this way. Do any of your XBOX or PS2 stuff exist on your PS3 or 360?

Exactly.

Aren't all military shooters the same plot?

I will say this though, in terms of Multiplayer, Homefront > COD.

Black_Knight_00

While in terms of single player there isn't a single military FPS that can match CoD's production values

CoD's production values? You mean CODs copy & paste? :P

Im kidding.

I would agree. It does deliver the best michael bay military ride. I still prefer something like MOHs more realistic approach to the arcade military shooter though. Even something like Ghost Recon Future soldier is more of my preference.

On the MP comparison. Sorry, I should have clairified more on my question, but yeah, there you have it. Why, IYO, is Homefront better than COD in terms of MP?

Metamania

People might argue it comes down to preference but Homefront is much more of a war game in multiplayer. It features more players in a match, bigger & better maps, land & air vehicles. Picture Battlefield if it were casualized.

You could maybe say its a mix of Cod & BF, but what im saying is it offer more in its MP gameplay, its also more team oreinted, & more balanced, & more strategic., its much more of a war game than Cod, which is why its better.

Homefront is basically what COD should be in MP design.

Man, that would be huge. Activision's got a lot of IPs and developers under their roof. That would Microsoft one hell of a diversity of developers.

c_rake

Really? I cant name a single good game, or series that has been published under the Activision name.

Last time i checked all Acitivision had was the ability to milk & kill the few series it has, with the only surviving IP being COD. Didnt they also recently shutdown the Prototype developer? So i dont think they have that much to offer, besides COD.

Microsoft would probably use any developers under Activision for Kinect anyways.

COD moden warefare 4 (they'll probably call it something else but you know it'll be the same).Tazzman1000

Thats an easy prediction. I can say without a doubt IW is in their offices crafting another COD as we speak. As soon as BO2 releases Treyarch will then start on another COD immediately. This cycle will continue for many years.

The only question about Fallout 4 is whether it's going to be a next gen launch title or not and how badly Bethesda will "streamline" it for the dudebros.

Boddicker

Its a next gen title for sure. This game industry is a predictable one. All you have to do is look at any facts we know in order to make accurate predictions. I can tell you without a doubt Fallout 4 will be a next gen title. Just look at this.

They had already stated they were originally going to make Skyrim for next generation but then thought they could still do more on current hardware, & next generation wasnt any where near happening yet. We also know they will switch between Fallout & the ES series.

Now Bethesdas games take any where from 3 to 5 years to craft. Now this team has been building games for years now, they are very effecient now. Skyrim was miraculously able to be built in 3 years time. Impressive.

Their last game was released november 2011 so the earliest you could see a new title would be Novemeber 2014. Wait.... we're not done. This is right after the next gen consoles start releasing. That right there tells us they will likely just build it for the next gen console ( just as they did with ES4 ), especially considering these console are maxed out.

Now then take into account an extra year needed to not only build a bigger game, but the extra time needed to build a game for next gen hardware & you have Novemember 2015. The game will likely release just under 3 & a half years from now on 720, PS4 & PC.

Some things are easy to predict as the facts are right here for us to analyze.

As far as we know the sequel to Batman AC is going to be called Batman Arkham World. This is likely their next game, if not i could see them saving this sequel for the next generation hardware.

Batman Arkham World will likely be a massive open city with vehicles such as the Batmobile for example. It would make sense for them to postpone making this game until the next generation consoles arrive, so this may be something to get us by until the real Arkham sequel is released.

I would factor in a new spit on the Mass Effect grave, maybe a multiplayer-only shooter.Black_Knight_00

We know they're going to continue on with the Mass Effect universe in the future, they just finished development of ME3 not too long ago, so i would be willing to bet they are starting production on a new ME game or trilogy of some sort for the next generation hardware.
