I went onto nvidia's website and downloaded the newest drivers and a couple of things to help with the reliability and performance and compatibility of vista, but still no joy. :(
The framerate still drops when I play the COD4 demo. I just cant understand why my system isnt performing as well as it should be able to.
I hadnt actually thought to download the latest drivers
I'll try that and see if it helps. thanks for your input folks.
I recently bought a new PC. Now i'm not a very tekkie person when it comes to computers, but I know that what i've got is a good machine. I was just playing the new COD4 demo, and noticed that the framerate was dropping significantly in certain areas, mainly large outdoor areas; and i've also had seom problems getting company of heroes to work smoothlywith thedirect x 10 patch. Now I thought that my computer could pretty much handle anything I could throw at it, but apparetly not and I'm wondering why that is.
To save typing out all the PC's specs, I'll provide a link to the product page from the site where i bought it. (Please note, that I upgraded the graphics card from the one shown in the specs list to a 768MB nVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX)

If anyone has any thoughts on this orideas on now to get my computer running fasterI would be glad at hear them.
Thanks.
If I had Vista on my computer and my friend had XP on his, could we still play games (like counterstrike for example) together online, or do we both need the same operating system?
Thanks.
