Geordie Shore?!!

by on

I used to like my TV.

It used to fill my life with entertaining shows. Interesting documentaries and the rest of it.

Now, I'm not so sure.

I recently witnessed an advert for a programme called Geordie Shore. What's that you say? What's Geordie Shore about? Well, as far as I can tell. It follows abunch of Geordie delinquents and their"Nightlife Antics". Normally I wouldn't mind about a programme like this. But considering how much the"yoof" of today have become...what's the word? Thick! I cannot bear to watch a group off***ing idiots, who think copying the twice as trashy programme over the pond "Jersey Shore" is actually the way to Stardom. But it is!! Look at the equally as f***ing annoying show "The Only Way is Essex" JUST F**K OFF!! No one cares about watching idiots entertain themselves!

Watching the advert for Geordie Show really wound me up. Sure, many people I know go by the statement "Living for the weekend" as do I! But these "people" seem obsessed with their partying! One woman in the advert claims she covers herself in brine??! I hope to God I heard it wrong because that is purely disgusting. The blokes seem obsesses with their muscular figures to pull women. They really do seem like your hardcore party people, but with an attempt to get on your f***ing nerves! One woman claims she will get up on the highest point in the club and "Get on like like a car bonnet!" I hope to God she actually gets shunted and found under a car bonnet. The sickening thing is, these people will be followed by thousands and have a name for themselves amongst the kids of the today. It really does make me wonder what it takes to become famous these days...

On the scout for another Reviewers position...

by on

Once again, I have begun my search for a volutary Game Reviewers position.

I did have a stint at it last year, and did quite enjoy it, but due to other commitments I did opt out after a while.

Now, I'm looking to jump back into it again. But believe you me, the search is hard!

I have written to a few companies looking for reviewers, but they all seem to ignore me! So for now, it's doing it off my own back in the User Reviews section on GS, until I can actually get in with a company!

I shall keep you all posted!

MJB Zone Tournaments kicking off soon...

by on

What with the massive, well-known Gamebattles being the only website pretty much devoted to tournaments, leagues and matches, there isn't much scope for anything else, or is there? As I'm sure your all aware, Gambattles is a predominantley USA based site, leaving Europe out cold. They don't offer a lot of tournaments for them. Well this is where I'm hoping to build something quite big. I will be starting out a website which will pitch up different clans, teams and players from all over Europe. I think a lot of people are upset that there isn't a bigger scope for this sort of thing, on this side of the water.

Pay attention for more updates!

Liverpool Squad just skulked round the back of our building!

by on

So I just had a quick cigarette break, and who do I notice coming round the corner but Sammy Lee, the Liverpool Assistant Manager, in a Liverpool tracksuit. "Naaah, can't be him" I thought to myself. Sure enough, who walks up behind him but Jamie Carragher! Now i'm starstruck.

I couldn't think what to do, so all I said was "Alright Jamie" He politely winked and smiled and walked on.

'But surely ifthey're here, where's Steven Gerrard!?

Then, the man of the hour walks past with Riera and Mascherano at his side. At this point I just thrown down my cigarette and walked towards him.

"Steve! Can I have an autograph?!" I blurted out.
"Your a bit old for that aren't you mate?" Inhis famousLiverpool accent.
"Erm, yeah I suppose. Sorry, I haven't got my camera or anything!" I said apologetically.

My idol as a 14 year old playing regular football was, Steven Gerrard. I loved, and still love, watching him play, and I didn't get as much as an autograph :(

The whole squad were skulking round the back of our building to avoid the screams following their coach. I could just never picture them walking down this....Car Park is the best I can describe it!

When I came back upstairs, obviously other people had heard the news and went looking for them in Regents Park. One bloke in the building actually got Steven's picture, and needless to say, I now hate this person.

I kissed my cigarette packet, thinking that if I didn't smoke, I would never have saw them!!

My new start at Gamespot...

by on

Well, after much deliberation,I finally decided to pay for membership at Gamespot, and fulfil my love for gaming!

I've just wrote a review for Modern Warfare 2, as I have been dying to express my opinion on this game for quite a while, you can all view the review here; http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/modernwarfare2/player_review.html?id=704404&tag=all-about;review1

Well after posting this review, I saw a really good job position opening for a gaming website, as a voluntary reviewer. Being voluntary didn't really bother me much,I already have a full time job so I thought why not work on something I love doing on a subject I love talking about! So I emailed the guy, and the next thing you know, he's sent me a promo version of Army of Two: The 40th Day to review in the upcoming week! And of course, best of all, I get to keep the games after posting succesful reviews! This couldn't be any more of an incentive to continue my love for games, and I'll hopefully have my own review to post here on Gamespot very soon!
