Funny how the ps4 comes fully assembled 8 gb of gddr5 ram an os and full surpport for 6years and all you can do is compare a whole console to a graphics card which most of you pc gamers motherboards and CPUs couldn't even cope with good luck withthat paying well over $1000 for it to work,.

@560ti: no evidence again one or two items does not make a pc yet again you can't do it, internet is a perk and not everyone cares for online, you cannot do it for 500 with the same spec at all, give me a system which is on par or more and why would anyone want a pc which. Is on par, pc gaming is about pushing graphics.

@560ti: go on then show me a system for 500 which will be good for 6years and be on par or better than a ps4, forget online performance is what I want im a single player gamer I dont care for online so yes it would be $400 when it comes down to tech, not once anyone has shown any evidence.

Yep thought so avoidingthe one and two messages which actually mean anything, $600 - 800 machine doesn't compete with a 400 machine pmcome back when you have evidence but again no one does

why can't i duck or anything the game does it for me, the worst is the long grass you hide in but if you want to reach the other grass you can't duck and sneak across he stands up and you walk across. crazy how this game gets big scores all the time.

Aassasin Creed Franchise is the biggest bland gameplay OK story franchise there is.

I remember the first time I was introduced to AC franchise. My friends told me that it is a stealth game with lots of tactics required. They also told me that the story is superb. So I thought I give AC Brotherhood a try. The story was the shittiest ever and ended with a cliffhanger. The gameplay as you said did not have the most basic element of stealth which is ducking. Next day that I went to my friends and shared my experience with them. Then they said: "Ok! you'r right but have you seen the graphics?"

thats it, everyone is over-shadowed by the graphics, i mean how does a game about assassinating people get such a high score when the basic element of assassinations is missing, and group fights and it's one at a time attacking you, the only reason i'm enjoying black flags is because the pirate theme is pretty good the side activities with the ships and pirating is keeping me intrigued.

i don't think anyone can actually give me a reason as to why it scores so highly.

back in 2010 when my X360 died i decided to buy a new machine to play battlefield bad company 2 online

i had to decide between a PC or a PS3, so i went to bfbc2 minimum and recomended specs to see what kind of PC i would need

i dont know why but i used to think that the recommended specs are the minimum to play the game decently like the PS3 or X360 could do

in fact the recommended specs could run the game close to the highest settings and the minimum specs were what i were really looking for (ps3/x360 quality) but i didnt know that and bought a PS3 instead of a PC, i also bought a keyboard and mouse adapter making the system even more expensive because i cant play fps games in a joystick

i recently made a pool here asking the console gamers only what is the cost of a decent gaming PC

"a decent gaming PC is one that can run next gen games like Battlefield 4 or Need for Speed Rivals at decent frame-rates up to 60fps, 1080p, high to max visual settings, record videos, run wii and ps2 emulators..."

this PC is the PC i have today, its a U$400 PC

but console gamers are terribly uninformed about the real cost of a gaming PC, just like i was, and they flocked the answers around 800-1200 dollars avg 1000 dollars PC

a 1000 dollars PC is the most expensive PC anyone should buy, you can build a PC with r9-290 graphics card equivalent to a nvidia titan for 1000 dollars, more than that is reserved for enthusiasts that enjoy suffering with the terrible dual gpu and dual card problems

1000 dollars are not the minimum, it is the maximum a sane person should spent on a PC

just to confirm it, check this 800 dollars PC build

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-gaming-pc-core-i5,3708.html

it runs battlefield 4 on medium settings, (close PS4 settings) @172 frames per second!!!!!!

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-gaming-pc-core-i5,3708-16.html

yet another uninformed person who tries hard but fails.

you come back and show me a pc for 399 with the same specs as a ps4 or greater so that you get 1080p at 60fps with every game, from now till 2020,

which has an OS, 8gb of gddr5 ram a gpu which matches the custom built one in the ps4. keyboard and mouse and controller to play games with, forget the monitor as the pc should run on the hdtv smoothly like the ps4 does do and then we can have this arguement, but to put up a link which takes you to a $800 machine which runs battlefield 4 on ultra but only at 48fps is not a case at all double the money hmmmm, and battlefield 4 isn't next gen it's a multi gen game, if your going to buy a pc you ain't just going to set out and buy something which is on par with a ps3/360 or even a ps4 for that matter there isn't any point.

This is right on the money!

Gonna throw my hat in the ring for this rather heated debate, so here goes.....

I had contemplated going for a PC this generation round, because obviously they can provide a fantastic gaming experience, and there are many positives, but after a lot of thought I will be going for a PS4 to replace my beloved Xbox 360, and there are a number of reasons why.

I keep hearing about how PC gaming is cheaper in the long run, but realistically (at least for me ) this really isn't the case.

People keep going on about how you can build a comparable PC for the same price as a next gen console (although with the PS4 retailing at £350 here in the UK, you could be pushed to even do that), but for how long will that computer be comparable? A year, maybe 2 at a stretch. Then something will need upgraded, and this is one fact that keeps me away from PC gaming.

The Xbox 360 was released 8 years ago, and retailed for £280, if someone then had built a PC for even 3 times that price, would it be capable of running any of today's ( or actually the last few years) of 360 games? Obviously not, and the same goes for any PC built to compete with a console today. As well as that, look at exactly what developers are managing to do with 8 year old console hardware, it's quite frankly awesome!

I know PC games are cheaper at launch, but people seem to forget that with consoles there's a huge second hand game market. With the new consoles it'll take a year or so for that market to develop, but it will, and that's where I will end up getting most of my games, as I have done this generation round, and this combined with trading games in, means that it's not half as expensive as the angry PC gamers make it out to be. I picked up 3 games at GAME for £12 last week. Also I rarely buy games at release unless it's something that I'm particularly excited for, and then I'm willing to pay the premium.

Another factor is the simplicity that consoles provide. Now I love my tech, and I love to tinker and tweak things, so as much as that aspect of PC gaming actually appeals to me, with having a full time job, a wife and 3 young kids, my free time is extremely limited. What little time I get to spend gaming I want to actually spend it gaming, not having to worry about frame rates, detail levels, drivers etc. Also a game will run on a console exactly as it should without issues.

Essentially I will continue to game on a console over a PC for those reasons. If I had more free time and more money (ironically having kids seems to have a direct impact on t both those 2 things) I would game on both, with a kick ass gaming rig, and 3 consoles. As it is I have to make the choice that best suits me, and I'd rather drop £350 on a console I know will last 5+ years, than £800 on a PC that will last 3 at the most, it just doesn't make sense for me.

And although there are many PC gamers who get that it's about personal choice, I do think there are some who simply hate the fact that someone can have as much fun on a console as they do on their 'super fast ultra rig'

Anyway, rant over, I'm going to go and play a game that cost me £7 on an 8 year old console, i'll try to enjoy it if i can.....

It isn't just that if you read the TC's first post he shows a link to a $800 PC which gives you medium settings which he is trying to make comparable to a PS4 so that's 400 more than a PS4 but get the same results, $800, what the heck is this he has just completely OWNED himself right there with his argument.

not only that but he goes on to say that everyone has a pc in the house, this just shows how much of a noob he is to PC gaming, everyone even most people who don't game on PC, realize that your home pc doesn't compete and cannot just be changed and tweaked to become a gaming computer, i have a pc but i have upgraded it as much as i can but it still won't reach ps4 quality because gpu, cpu, motherboard, ram all have to be in harmony with each other to work, he is basicly saying if you buy a decent graphics card you get decent graphics and it just doesn't work like that.

you make excellent points a games console is an easy way to play games for the next 5-7years and the graphics which they have no are no where near what they will be in 3years time, but a pc which can be compared to a ps4 at $800 will not be in date 3years from now and will need upgrading.

plus if you game on pc you want the best and you pay for the best. a pc is what you make it with throwing money at it

I love how were on a GAMING website talking about games and graphics and gameplay for the last god knows how many years, and we've come down to, o if you love games and want the best looking games and fluid gameplay around go with ps4 but if thats not for you and you would rather have APPs and tv then xbox one is for you, i mean honestly its driving me mad, were here playing home consoles for the games last gen all i heard was every multiplat game was better on xbox 360 that is the system to play it's just better and now all the xbox lot are going xbox one is next gen because of apps lol completely in denial about graphics.

ps4 is the best home console there is, if you already have a tv and a pc and want the best looking games around and the best multiplats and the most variety in exclusives, and want to have a free console for apps and free to play games which are free then ps4 is the way to go, there are enough games out now to keep you entertained until the bigger games come out in the next couple of months it isn't long to go now.

Xbox One is for people who are die hard xbox fans to be honest, all the apps are behind the paywall so you have to give in to xbox live gold to even reach them, there aren't really any free to play games because you need xbox live gold to get online anyway, games at the moment are struggling to reach 1080p and the games which have reached it are missing many parts of the game and bad backgrounds (forza5).

But we live in an age where any one person can defend anything inferior and in there mind thats the better option.

the way i see it is Sony always deliver on their 1st party games all the way through the consoles life cycle, even once the new system is in they still support it, Microsoft on the other hand are renowned for producing small pockets of 1st party games and deserting the console nearing the end of it's life cycle.

  1. Fifa 14
  2. NBA 2K14
  3. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag
  4. KNACK
  5. KillZone: Shadow Fall

ask me in a year and this should of doubled or tripled, and i may still get myself a ps vita

hmmmm you could say this for Assassin Creed series, i mean honeslty you hold down 1 button to run which in turn leads to free running which if held you run up and across building by pointing the analog stick in the right direction and holding down the button with the occasinal jump inbetween, you then have assassinations which are pretty basic and bland, the combat is 2 buttons counter and kill, try to kill them and you get blocked and blocked and blocked and then you can kill them, probably the most blandest gameplay controls in a AAA fanchise i have ever come across in my life, but yet people love. and i hate 1-3 but i enjoy 4 but only because of the pirate theme but even that i'm finding the whole combat system boring as hell and why can't i duck or anything the game does it for me, the worst is the long grass you hide in but if you want to reach the other grass you can't duck and sneak across he stands up and you walk across. crazy how this game gets big scores all the time.

Aassasin Creed Franchise is the biggest bland gameplay OK story franchise there is.

i can get immersed in any type of game the setting the story is what brings me in.

i actually hate first person games, i'm the opposite i cannot stand first person shooters, i just feel your very limited to what you can do in first person and i like to see the character infront of me. but i really enjoyed deus ex.
