@ooozephyrosooo: so glad others share my sentiment. I kept hearing that the writing and dialogue is amazing but I never saw it as such. It's almost like one person early on said the writing and dialogue was amazing and so that just spread into GroupThink and has been parroted. The dialogue really jumped the shark for me when I saw that one of the dialogue options was "my left nut." I mean, who talks like that outside of middle school boys? Even though the world is semi-open instead of fully open most of the buildings are sealed off. You'll never stumble on a hidden dungeon or camp that surprises you with anything interesting. Tack on the fact that there's no crafting, that none of the items outside of the inhaler were even worth thinking about, and that basically leaves combat as the only thing that can salvage the game but the combat was only passable and felt pretty bland after playing Rage 2 and Borderlands 3 where the combat shines. I only finished the game because I knew it was fairly short and because I had spent $60 on it. If it hadn't been for those 2 things I wouldn't have finished it. I agree that the dialogue usually went on far too long, and that the things you could read on computers and notes and such were always too long and never had anything interesting in them. The only thing that I found impressive was that you could solve missions in different ways, and often by talking your way out of them, but even then the way it was executed was shallow. Simply dump enough skill points into your dialogue skills and you essentially "skip" the mission. Boring. It got to the point where I'd choose NOT to talk my way out of things because at least then I could get into combat where I *might* enjoy something. Between Control and The Outer Worlds I'm not sure which is the most overrated game of 2019 but they're both in contention.

Pedophiles litter Hollywood but make a movie the left doesn't like and suddenly they start pointing it out.

The interviews with actual WW2 vets will make the story hit home more than any other game of this genre I bet. Having said that, if it's exclusive to Oculus it won't get very far. I'd be glad to play it without VR if that's possible though.

@mistertech: Yep the story was utterly annoying in WD2. A bunch of woke hackers sticking it to the white man for calling them criminals when they... well... ARE criminals. Gameplay was fantastic though, will give them that.

@alastor529: You will probably be right, sadly. They've already transformed Ellie into a cute and likeable person into a hard-on-the-eyes (and likely hard to be around) butch girl.

The protagonist is a suspect in the very crime in which he was a victim? So in other words he's Jussie Smolette?

@jsprunk: Logan was solid. Otherwise I tend to agree. Avengers is so overrated.
