it's a new controller that the D pad can be changed to be a 4 way or a 8 way by twisting the d pad. this is to help solve the issue that the 360 controller with the D pad. and the colors are different to and only sold this way.

I have the new controller with the transforming D-pad that you linked to. I really like it. But I have a feeling the TC may be referring to the Razer Onza Tournament Edition controller with the adjustable tension analog sticks.
