Nintendo is so close to OWNING me. Captain Toad is my #gameofshow. I've loved Toad ever since Super Mario Bros. 2; Mario Kart 64's persona of Toad totally stole my heart. I've been waiting and waiting and hoping and praying that Toad would make his playable debut as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. 4, and now that he FINALLY has his own game, I am THROUGH THE ROOF. It looks freakin' awesome too!

HOWEVER, Nintendo's games look small. Like Indie titles. I absolutely love the Zelda Skyrim. I've never been into open-world games EVER and Skyrim & Oblivion bore me to tears. I am POSITIVE Nintendo will finally get me to love sandbox-style. However, Nintendo's games, outside Zelda, are missing the EPIC factor. I absolutley love, love, love Kirby's Rainbow Curse and Yoshi's Wooly World. AMAZING! And Splatoon looks INSANE. Toss Toad in there and Mario Maker... I'm just loving Nintendo. They always have my heart & they are my personal E3 2014 winners (plus there are a few more announcements yet).

HOWEVER. You CANNOT put Yarn Yoshi and Rainbow Kirby and Captain Toad beside Uncharted 4, Halo 5, Assassin's Creed Unity, Far Cry 4... Battlefield: Hardline & Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare blew my socks off and I am NOT an FPS or military-game fan. But holy crap dat Battlefield.... I mean they showed a DEDICATED Toad game. My heart was stolen. So they win by default. BUT. I do feel that they don't have enough EPIC games.

Games like Yoshi & Kirby are awesome, but in this day & age they feel like eShop titles. So I still think they should've shown Metroid or say Star Fox. Give us something EPIC. Zelda did that. But we didn't see enough of it. So I think at least a HINT of a new Metroid or EarthBound or a Nintendo MMO would've gone a long way.

I mean PS4 and Xbox One are getting Dragon Age 3 & a new Mass Effect, plus Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare & Battlefield: Hardline which blew my socks off. WiiU isn't. They need more games on a HUGE scale just to compete.

So I love what they are doing but it also drives home that it's hard to pick a WiiU over a PS4 or Xbox One when there are so many huge gaps in their lineup and they are still offering almost 8bit style experiences. And the deluge of indie games really fill that gap in too. Nintendo's games look great, but I don't know that Yoshi impressed me more than No Man's Sky.

Nor did Yoshi impress me more than the two AMAZING Indie games on XB1, Inside from the creators of Limbo & Ori and the Blind Forest. Nintendo gave us Mario Maker, Xbox One gives us Project Spark. Mario Maker looks great, but Project Spark looks incredible. And PS4 has LittleBigPlanet 3.

Nintendo can't even get Free2Play MMO's. Steam has a ton of them and I know no less than five friends who play them regularly. I've thought about joining them sometime this year. That's another feather in Sony's cap (though they didn't show any I'm interested in but promised they're coming).

I'm positive Microsoft, like Steam has already done, will open Xbox Live up to F2P games too soon. This year I wanna start playing at least one MMO. So, there's that.

It just proves how far behind Nintendo is, that they can't even get free2play MMo's cause I don't think their online system can even support it. Maybe I'm wrong. But I wish Nintendo would show a whole new overhaul from the ground up of their online architecture.

If Nintendo would've shown Mother 3 or an EarthBound trilogy, much less a new EarthBound or a Nintendo-themed MMO (which I've always thought would be insane), I'd hold off on the above titles.

I'm actually currently playing Mother 3 via the English Translation ROM, but haven't gone back to it in months cause of Pokemon Y.

If Nintendo showed Mother 3 or Mother Trilogy on WiiU that would ensure I'd buy a WiiU just so I can play Mother 3, which I'm already playing, legit. But they didn't so. Meh. Still not sure if I'll buy a WiiU before a PS4. Which sucks. I really want WiiU and they ALMOST have tipped me there. But they are just SOOO behind the ball that I find it hard to justify it. Sadly, Indie Games are filling that amazing 2D side-scrolling nitch with incredible experiences. Nintendo is offering them too but now they are just a TOO. Yoshi looks AWESOME but they JUST came out with a new Yoshi & a new Kirby. We are getting more of that with awesome design. But it's no "No Man's Sky".... *sigh* I love you Nintendo. But even this deluded fanboy can see that they are still in a hole and don't seem to have even begun to dig themselves out of it. When a Nintendo fanboy might buy an Xbox One or PS4 FIRST, you still have major problems.

MiiVerse and Friend Codes and focus on Mii's really highlight that. I LOVE my Xbox 360 Avatar. I've NEVER loved my Mii. The Mii is pathetic. Looks cool in Smash, but pathetic. I love the toy feature. But Skylanders & Disney have done it so it's not a megaton. Nintendo still has lots of work to do. Hopefully what Miyamoto shows will be a big step in the right direction, but I doubt it.

@somatzu I can't wait to get an XboxOne, so that's me. TitanFall, Dead Rising 3, Ryse (my game of the show for E3) and Killer Instinct? How can anyone argue with that lineup? All PS4 has that interests me is Knack... a platformer. Which I love. I love me some platformers. I ain't an FPS guy, so Halo and Killzone do absolutely nothing for me (I didn't play Killzone 1, 2 or 3, so I don't plan to play 4) neither does "DriveClub". And that's about all I can think of on the Sony side. On the indie side "Below" was my Indie game of the show, so there you have it. I also don't have a powerful PC and no I'm not gonna upgrade it to play TitanFall, I'm too busy playing Super Meat Boy to care. So XBOne gets my vote easily. I also can't wait to see what they do with built-in voice and gesture controls, something that's never been done with such an advanced feature day-one in the box. I think people underestimate how huge Kinect and voice/gesture control will be. And they'll miss it when switching to PS4 and realizing they have to physically turn it on by getting off their lazy ass. :P

@DarthLod I feel the opposite. Another open-world game and another shooter, another "pretty forest environment" and "new mountain environment" to wade through... More military guns and shooting people in the head, but now online with friends! Meh. Give me Wind Waker AGAIN any day. It's still better than anything the current generation can offer. I'd play it over the next Call of Duty, Battlefield, Assassin's Creed (which is getting very tired at this point) and even the new Watch Dogs and Tom Clancy games. Not a single of which feels "iconic". Wind Waker? Can't beat it IMHO. While I'm very excited for Ryse and TitanFall, as well as InFamous: Second Son, I am way more excited for Super Mario 3D World, the new Donkey Kong Country, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101 and the new Smash. And the new Mario Kart looks awesome. I welcome more F-Zero in my Mario Kart. So while I'll get a PS4, I'll be buying a Wii U before I do.

This game looks freakin' awesome! I'm a big beat-em up fan. Love the old-school stuff. "The Peace Keepers" on SNES is one of my favorite games of all time.

Very interesting conversation. I like hearing about Korea and the differences between nations.

Haha, this guy is awesome. I love hearing his thoughts. Must be rough to have a hard time speaking English and be interviewed. Good stuff though.

Where's the guy from the left from? They need to tell more information for those who aren't into the scene. I don't think he said where he's from....

Absolutely insane. But hey I can't argue, I plan on picking up one of the games myself. I even know a guy, and fellow game collector, that bought both on launch day. Pokemania indeed.
