Finished Resident Evil: Revelations yesterday, it was good. Good have been a lot better in spots and the final boss was kinda terrible. They also fucked up the HD port by not properly adjusting the aiming so there's a significant deadzone. But it did the multi-perspective narrative way better than RE6 and Raid mode is so awesome.

Playing Injustice (or fighting games in general) kinda sucks with a 360 controller. That d-pad really is the worst thing ever.

I generally think playing almost any fighting game on a gamepad is terrible unless it's been designed for that in mind like MK9. I got a fightpad for my PS3, I find it way easier to do quarter circle or half circle moves on that thing, plus having 6 face buttons is great.

oh, anime anime...

i see you said you finished rendering a 3d scene or something like that, what for?

My final school project, we have to composite 3D into live action footage.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is so great.

you and your anime games. you gonna get ultra when it comes out? makes the game like 100% footsies focused has me really excited. I love vortex characters but my vortex is never tight enough to work as much as i need it to.

I wasn't talking about the game, I was talking about the anime. And yeah, I'm really excited for Ultra even though my Ibuki ain't gonna be doing her vortex any more. She seems to have gotten more mixups though. If she's changed too much, I'll just go with Dudley or try out one of the new characters.

I spent my evening eating pizza and watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the first movie, while my 3D scene rendered...pretty good. That movie holds up surprisingly well.

Just finished South Park.. What a cool little game. Makes me actually want to check out the show... but probably not.

Yeah, it got me on a South Park kick for a second. I didn't even make it through the first season before I lost interest. Great game, tho.

I wouldn't binge on South Park and I certainly wouldn't start with the first season. The stuff from like 2004-2005 onwards is all pretty great, it's one of those shows that has gotten better over time.

As someone who has never really seen an episode of the show what season would you recommend to start with?

I just looked it up and yeah, I guess right 2004 is when the show really hit its stride so that's Season 8. The first episode of that season is "Good Times with Weapons" when the kids manage themselves as anime characters and fight...it's pretty good. Though like I said, I wouldn't binge on it. One or two episodes here or there.

Batman: Year One has always been my favorite Bat book. Turns out Robin: Year One, Catwoman: Year One, and Batgirl: Year One are all equally as awesome (well, not quite, but they're all great reads).

Year One is also my favorite Batman story and from my limited exposure to comics in general, it's my favorite. I prefer the darker, slightly more grounded Batman stuff compared to the crazy supernatural stuff and outlandish plots. I really loved the two narratives with Gordon and Bruce Wayne as they both realize how much of a shit hole Gotham is. Gordon's side is especially great and man, it gets fucking dark there for a bit. I kinda wish the Nolan movies would have explored Gordon more but those movies are so heavily focused on Bruce Wayne and the villain, it would clutter the movie.

Man, I think this is gonna be the year when I finally buy a fight stick with Ultra SSF4, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Guilty Gear Xrd coming out.

Sounds like you'd get your time out of it. Plus, it should be supported for fighting games for the PS4 as well.

I also just realized that those three plus Smash Bros account for the majority of games I plan on buying this year...weird how much my video game priorities have changed over the past few years.
