Alright, thanks for the help then guys. I called MS earlier and they told me it "wasnt a common issue", which is obviously BS. Thats why im not going to pay them to fix my console which is only out of warrenty by like 3 months. I'll make it RROD and get my rightful free repair. So this towel method, i just wrap it up in a towel and block the air vents?

I played the game fine for the first 2 days, then this started happening. I called take two tech support and they have no clue what this problem is, i was the first to even report the problem so they have sent my case on to the advanced division. The guy on the phone ran me through some tests before doing that though (they was surprisingly pleasant to talk with, and we joked on the phone too). He told me to run the game without the HD, in case its a corrupt save file (as this did start happening when i was playing online, so maybe he figured i picked up some sort of virus that corrupted my save or whatever?), so i did and they were still there. So, its not a HD issue. I also cleared the cache, not that causing it either. I also played the game without being connected to the internet too, that didnt seem to help either. They seem to be random as well. Sometimes i can play the game for hours on end and they wont show up, other times i will play it and they pop up then go away, other times they are just there all the time. Now its either a faulty disc or my system is on its way out, but i dont know why this happens with only this game as all my other games are fine, if it was a system malfunction dont you think id see this kind of artifacting in my other games too? I know different games put the system under a different work load but come on! It doesn't affect the gameplay at all, the game still runs as smooth as it always did, ive had no freezing problems and only one unreadable disc error since i got the game, no other glitches have occoured just this weird thing. If anyone has had this problem, please let me know if you fixed it and what you did, and call take two and report the problem because if they dont know about it then they cant release a patch to fix issues like these. The guy on the phone said i should exchange the disc and see if that fixes it, if it doesn't he said i should wipe my gta4 save file from my HD and if that doesn't do it....then i dont know what will. Its obviously a weird system flaw by that time." So thats that...most people reckon im about to get the RROD, which would make sense as its now doing this on all my games. Now i dont want to send it off to MS in its current state because its out of its normal warranty and i really dont want to have to pay them to fix their problem, so how long will it take (roughly) before i get the RROD with the console like it is? See what i hope to do is get the RROD then i can get the system replaced for free you see. Or will MS replace it anyway since this is the beginning of the RROD problem? So with the console giving me graphical artifacts all over the place, how much longer till it dies do you reckon? Should i just keep a game running idle for hours and wait for it to kill itself, or will it just happen naturally when i turn it on someday?
