Hi, ive had a GTX 280 since they cam out, i too have a 1000w psu. I used the 8\6 pin adapters that came with the card. I occasionally had card failures due to lack of power (red light comes on around the back where hot air escapes). Found other people on forums having same prob, turns out the adapters were at fault and have since bought some others and have had no more crashes.

Just thought id let you know incase you run into simolar probs. Its a great card

Recently for me it has to be the first 6 hours of play of left4dead on my just upgraded pc. Everything about it oozed class. The chilling music that adapts to whats happening on screen, the seemingly impossible amount of zombies that can swarm from anywhere at any given time. Having to help your fallen friends get on their feet before the on coming horde of undead reach you. Throwing a molotov on the floor infront of an oncoming horde and seeing them all light up in flames as they try to run thru to get to you. All this on my 42" screen at 1920x1080 with AA enabled and everything set to max!!! I couldnt wipe the grin off my face the whole time i played

I think its a very good all round game, great for playing on your own or joining up with people to go on a quest or just hang around in the bars talking to people. i like the social aspect of it and the way its so open ended. Just wander around admiring the views chatting to people as they go past, pick up a quest here or there as you wish. It helps that someone else in my house plays this on a separate pc so we often go on quests together -just a little sad i know  I have found that generally every 20lvls or so i have to stop playing for a few weeks as i get a little bored but at times i have played this for 12 hours straight
