I would pick #2 , the MSI GE Series GE60 its has the 3.6 ghz i7 and GTX 960m.

But the asus comes with that + 8 more gigs of ram :/

Lol .. He said thin, and less weight, aha ! I have not seen great cheap laptop/desktops that are for gaming that are light. Best of luck, unless you want to spend mega $$

I just want affordable thin/light laptops, like I said, I need the best that I could get with my budget, something reasonable, not the best.

Hello everyone,

Once again, I need your help, this time with choosing the right gaming laptop, not the best one.

I have been searching on the web for a while and I found these among the best ones within my price range:

1) http://www.amazon.com/GL551JW-DS74-15-6-Inch-Gaming-Laptop-GTX960M/dp/B00T7XRGGC/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1433433351&sr=1-1&keywords=ASUS+ROG+GL551JW-DS74&pebp=1433433356635&perid=0PQ2C8NAD8G8RVKXBK4R

2) http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TI6TFHQ/ref=psdc_565108_t3_B00T7XRH2A

3) http://www.amazon.com/MSI-GE62-Apache-082-15-6-Inch-Aluminum/dp/B00YPEIFYA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1433433529&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+GE+Series+GE62+Apache-082&pebp=1433433536714&perid=02BEFWEDWM86E6T3QSS9

4) http://www.amazon.com/HP-15-5010nr-Gaming-Notebook-Beats/dp/B00O0M750W/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1433430843&sr=1-1&keywords=hp+omen&pebp=1433430853530&perid=1T064X0Q2T08XF6YRSFV

My needs (More like requirements):

- The less wight, the better

- The thinner, the better

- Used only while outside the house (The easier portability, the better)

- some spec requirements, like the screen size and gpu and what not, so it will be perfect if you choose from the 4 above

- the overall more quality parts, the better

I really want to know which one to choose and please if you can, tell me the reason why you choose what you would choose.

Thank you very much for your time, I really appreciate it!

Hello everyone, I made another post and I got plenty of good answers regarding Hard Drives, so thank you!

this time I'll focus on this precisely: Recording with DxTory @ 1920x1080/60FPS

As of right now, I have a seagate 2TB hard drive( I believe the speed is only 5900RPM ) and I play and install games on this HDD and also record on it at the same time, I can record in 1080P/30FPS. I get FPS lags that I should not get (My specs are pretty good) so I looked up and saw that it is not recommended to record and play on the same drive. so this is what I'm thinking of: Getting two of this Hard Drive (http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Cache-Desktop-WD1003FZEX/dp/B00FJRS6FU/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1408886427&sr=1-1&keywords=WD1003FZEX) use one for installing games, and use the other to record on. Basically, read on one of them and write on the other instead of doing both on the same HDD. (my seagate HDD is failing that's why I'm getting a new one)

Am I doing the right thing? can those HDDs handle 1080P/60FPS? Do I need to use RAID to be able to do 1080p/60FPS? I'm a youtuber and I really need to figure this out. any help is really appreciated!

thanks for your time!

PS: http://gyazo.com/63287d8b315dc67f179a7aaed487921e do you guys know how to fix this? it's my current hard drive failing.

Hello everyone! once again I need your help.

I always come here when I have questions about my computer because of the great community that gamespot has in the PC section, so thank you!

Here is what my specs are:

Asus Rampage IV Extreme

I7 3930K

AMD 7970 XFX 3GB Core Edition

16GB Corsair vengance 1600

1xSSD 120GB OCZ SSD

1x2TB Seagate HDD

here is my problem: I am a youtuber, and sometimes when I record my FPS goes down rapidly. I heard that I could fix that by playing games on hard drive and recording it on another, so here I am:

I want to buy an SSD for my games for a faster loading time, I thought of this:http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Electronics-EVO-Series-2-5-Inch-MZ-7TE250BW/dp/B00E3W1726/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1408737318&sr=8-1&keywords=samsung+256gb+ssd

(Please let me know if there is a better SSD for that price, or a faster one slightly more expensive, or better brand)

I also want to buy this so I could record my gameplay on it:

http://www.amazon.com/Western-Digital-Cache-Desktop-WD2003FZEX/dp/B00FJRS628/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=undefined&sr=8-1&keywords=western+digital+black+2tb

(Please let me know if there is a better HDD for that price, or a faster one slightly more expensive, or better brand)

I'm trying to boost frames while recording, also if possible, being able to record with DxTory at 1080P/60FPS recording capability (the video file being captured in 1080P/60FPS, not the game)

Also, is't better to go with a RAID system with two 1TB harddrives for 1080P/60FPS?

Also, is't bad to use an SSD for recording games?

Please do help me as I really need your help in making my decision.

many thanks!

PS: My seagate harddrive started acting funny lately, is there a test that I could do to know whether my harddrive is dying or not?

should fit by the looks of it :)

If you go ahead and get one, do remember to leave a note on how it went and how you feel about it around here, so other people can use it as reference and oppinions aswell :)

Of course bro, again thank you very much sir, you helped me a lot.

does your case support the H100? which is the most important aspect here. the top fan screws are often placed a Little different then the H100 in my experience (limited granted).

But if it can, then eh it is about one of the best coolers you can have for a 3930, partly because the ram Blocks are so close that any big copper cooler simply wont fit by design.

personally have the smaller H80 (ironically after trying out two cabinets and neither fittet the H100, my loss the H100 is slithtly better then the H80).

As for cooling? well will you belive me if I told you that my Asus PC probe right now shows CPU to be around 35 degrees celsius? (a delta of 15 degrees, doing an av scan). Granted that kind of consumer temp gauges are not really all that useful, but still a good indikation of the H series to be pretty solid.

thank you sir! I do have a HAF X 942 case, do you think that it is compatable?

many thanks!

It's called force feedback and was popular on joysticks about 13 years ago.

Like this, back when Microsoft made them.

http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Sidewinder-Force-Feedback-Joystick/dp/B00005NIMB/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394050102&sr=8-1&keywords=force+feedback+joystick

Without it you can get joysticks like this and some that have a separate throttle.

http://www.amazon.com/Saitek-X52-Flight-System-Controller/dp/B000LQ4HTS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1394050711&sr=8-3&keywords=hotas

If you're after more helicopter games you could try DCS Black Shark 2.

@PredatorRules: thank you sir! can you please tell me whether you can feel the wind or the wight of the chopper? I don't know if it's called push back force or nor, but like it pushes your hand when you try to go against the wind or makes it harder to pilot when you are damaged.

again thanks for the response!

No, but you can go with @Insert-Coin suggestion the X52 Pro which does have that option.

or you can go with http://www.amazon.com/Mad-Catz-Saitek-H-O-T-A-S-Throttle/dp/B00HHAIY72/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1394054330&sr=8-1&keywords=x55

It's a bit newer module, it just went out on stores.

thank you guys so much! I think I'll wait for the mat catz new release on april, 2 and see how it is.

again thank you very much for the help!
