I kind of want something new

I've played pretty much every game mentioned that XD

I have an i7 920 and a 5870 so I can pretty much run anything.

but all the games mentioned, (MW2, TF2, Crysis, BF2, Metro, CIV5, SC2) I've played the hell out of.

I'm hearing quite a few endorsements for black ops, so maybe it's not as bad as people say

The last game I bought was starcraft II and I'm kind of getting sick of playing it all the time (especiallycause im getting paired up with horrible teamates) and i want a multiplayer shooter.

I've been playing Bad Company since its release and I'm kind of getting sick of that. I love the big maps but the amount of bullets it takes to put someone down and the arcady feel of it is kind of putting me off. I went back to COD 4 and loved the more realistic feel of the game but I've played it so much that I'm just sick of it. I started playing ARMA II but it's so buggy that it just put me off and I heard black ops sucked.

So im sort of at an impass, looking for a new PC multiplayer game to sink my time into but it seems like all the ones that came out in fall suck and all the ones I was looking forward too (crysis 2, Brink, Rage, Battlefield 3) won't be comming until 2011, 2012.

I am seriously considering Black ops or Medal of Honor but I've not heard the best about either of them.

opinions please

thank you

Hey I've been playing mostly FPSs lately and I want to get back into RTS games.

I have C&C 3 and Red Alert 3, but I got bored of both a long time ago. I would love to get into World in Conflict but there is no one playing it anymore.I was looking at COH, but i'm not sure how many still play.

Here are my criterion

1-Lot of people playing

2-Relitively easy to pick up, and matches don't take long

3-Has a fair amount of units (I shied away from DOWII because of that aspect)

4-incorporates strategic thinking and maturity, possibly team play (i.e. NOT C&C 4)

thanks for the input

If you play the medic like I do, you can rack up like tons of points. I personally got an 8000 class score and an overall score of like 30,000 or something to that effect.

Though engineer has the potential to get a ton of points as well if you can play it right and your on a vehicle map. Recon is by far the hardest. Though if you want to upp recon really fast, go to a hard core server, equip an acog to a semi auto and fill a DMR role, or just whip out the m24 and snipe from range, it's a 1 hit kill in HC. I generally rack up around 2000 points/game doing that. Plus, sniping is pretty fun cause it's very rewarding when you pull off that perfect moving headshot from accross the map with gravity affecting it.

Assault is more of a grind. Assault is by far the most bland of the classes and you really have to be good at shooting people and staying alive because refilling amo doesn't give nearly as much points as reviving and healing, or fixing tanks, or destroying tanks. So again, you're gonna want to get good at shooting.

BF2 is good but it can get frustrating because people have figured out all the ways to get cheap kills. and half your team waits for the jet or helicopter, and grenade spamming is a huge issue.

Though BF2 is an absolutely wonderful game, and is a contentder for one of the best shooters ever. BC2 is prettier and your in the action a lot longer, and so far, people aren't whoring the choppers, and squad play is greatly encouraged by the leveling structure. in BF2, your level is more or less arbitrary and doesn't give you much in return.

Also, BF2 will run much more smoothly on your Comp, i have a beast of a PC and I still can't have AA or AF on.

well I'm mostly going to use them for gaming. I will probly only use them on airplanes or car rides 4 times a year.

But is that sound interference a big problem? I'm used to the sound isolation I get with my in ear morays? how do they compare with that?

I need a gaming headset tho cause I want a mic attached to the headset, leaning over to talk into a crappy mic annoys me to no end. Plus, I may as well get something good because I'm going to be stuck listening to them.

forgive the spelling of the headset, its probably wrong

Anyway I can get one of these for 50 bucks so I am enticed. The only thing I take issue with is that it is open air, so there is a bit of noise released to the surroundings. ATM is use razer Moray earbuds for basic listening and speakers for gaming, but I would use this for gaming and airplane rides.

Can I get an opinion from someone whose experienced these headphones on just how loud they are, because I like me some loud music (metalhead FTW)

anyother comments about the headset or suggestions are welcome, but know this, I have a strict budget for around this price range.

Thank you

The mousepad I am using right now is a ****** one with a nice gel thing on the back that makes my wrist feel nice, but I think it may be dying after 2 years of use because it makes the cursor sometimes jump to the top of the screen on my razer lachesis. I first thought it was a driver/firmware problem, but i updated all the drivers and firmware and it still persists.

I then tried to wash the mousepad but that didn't turn out very well and now I have fabric bubbles on it. I have also noticed that the jump has gotten worse and worse over time .

So here are the options of what I think are pretty good ones.

Steelseries SP

Steelseries 4HD

Razer excactmat

which one of the 3 would you recomend? the games I play are mostly Call of Duty, Borderlands, L4D2, and world in conflict
