[QUOTE="game-ster23"][QUOTE="ad0234"]Sorry that I'm so late, but here I've got my review for New Super Mario Bros 2. game-ster23

Thanks. It'll be up soon.

Thanks a lot.

No problem. Do you have any other reviews that I could post in the future?

Yup, here's a New Super Mario Bros U review you may have. I will also have a Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon review up eventually, though "eventually" could still be a few months away.

[QUOTE="ad0234"]Just noticed this before, in the pic with the colorful blocks and Mini Mario, doesn't it look like he's running up the wall? And in the pic of the castle, far in the background, above the pillars left and right, aren't those Miis there? And the right one looks like he's behind bars, captured. GamerofMario1

Yeah, I see Miis. They are playable characters in this game.

Yes, yes, I know that. I was just wondering what they were doing in the background because they don't really belong into the Mario Universe. Well, here's another pic with Miis in the background:

And we all know that there weren't any Miis in the background of this level in the gameplay demo, so I assume they appear in the background only during the Boost Rush mode, probably cheering.

Game Informer seems to have new info about Mario Bros U, according to this site. I just didn't find Game Informer's article yet, neither am I sure if they already released their article about the upcoming Mario Bros U yet or not. Anyways, here are the new infos:

  • One giant map
  • Entire map can be viewed at a single time
  • Many branching paths, you can even choose to go to another world
  • New Boost Rush mode - auto-scrolling and timer
  • Peach is kidnapped by, you guessed it, Bowser. (Hmm, was hoping Bowser had a different plan up his sleeves this time, though this was pretty obvious actually)
  • Boom-Boom returns as the Fortress boss.
  • Koopalings are back for the third time in the New Super Mario Bros. series (Hopefully they'll be harder this time around)

And here are some worlds listed that are going to appear in the game:

  • Acorn Plains (Grasslands)
  • Sparkling Waters (Tropical)
  • Frosted Glacier (Snow)
  • Layer Cake Desert (uhh.. Desert and Pastries)
  • A World surrounded by a Tornado (Now this world sounds awesome, and particularly original. And yes, that's what the New Super Mario Bros series needs, a little more originality)
  • Areas similar to Forest of Illusion and Sky World

And here are some new pics:

(Links are in the Pics above (does not open new window))

So, sounds quite awesome, doesn't it? I'm really excited about this game.

I've beaten the game yesterday, except a few more secrets and some Star Coins. I must say, after hearing all the criticism about this game, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would. There isn't much new in the game, but the Levels are all very well designed, and the Koopaling battles, though mostly easy, were also very enjoyable.
