@moltenix: I picked it up a few days ago for the same price as well. They were completely sold out in the GTA area, I had to ask my friend to get it - he lives a bit further out of Toronto, so he was able to find two copies.
I finally got a chance today to play Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Holy shit. It's not extremely challenging so far (world 3) but the level design is way better than Donkey Kong Country Returns on the Wii, which was already fantastic. Also the music. Holy crap the music.
@JordanElek: I was going to skip the 3DS version and just get the Wii U version but I can't lie, I don't think I can wait for the Wii U version so I'll probably end up with both. I was hoping they'd talk more about how those two versions will work together in the Nintendo Direct but they didn't.
I haven't played much of anything lately. My parents usually use my TV now and I really don't want to play Wii U games on the GamePad. It's nice to have but I'd really like using the TV to play games ... but whenever I get home from work they're using it.
All the negativity about the second half of Bravely Default has put me off even progressing forward in that game. I'm thinking of going back to 999 but I've been pretty lazy with gaming in general. Work has been busy as of late and when I get home I just end up watching the Leafs or Raptors -- and the last two days I started exercising. I need a better plan to fit everything in lol.
@roboccs: I heard they have to win 6 of the 8 games left, since they lost last night they'd need to win 6 in a row basically. I don't see that happening.
There's no way we're getting into the playoffs now. At least I got to be on local news talking about them and how much they suck :D. Thank God for the Raptors, clinched a playoff spot for the first time since 2008 tonight. I'm excited for the post season but I don't think we'll get very far, but maybe, the Eastern conference sucks.
Save the fact that iTunes is overall pretty garbage, I can't even imagine why Apple would want to do this. They're too late, there's too many competitors already on Android. On top of that, I don't see them doing this on Android, there wouldn't be a big enough benefit for them IMO.
@roboccs: Maybe but I've never really been a fan of any games on mobile. I wouldn't mind playing the older Final Fantasy games on this, but I'm not paying $14.99 for those. If it ever goes on sale then probably. The only game I downloaded so far is Quiz Up, which is pretty good actually.
I'm glad you're liking the 3DS, it's actually really awesome. It's pretty interesting to see how Nintendo can do so well on the software and eShop side on the 3DS and then you look at the Wii U where they haven't done nearly as much in the same amount of time. Obviously it's easier and cheaper to make games on the 3DS but still, it's such a powerhouse. It's like the 3DS and Wii U were made by different companies.
