A Vampyre Story - spelt with a y. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this game - it's looking awesome. I especially love the game's tagline: Aventure games aren't dead. They're undead!fatshodan

So it has people from Monkey Island working on it?

I miss the old Lucas Arts adventures games. Sam and Max is pretty fun but it's just not the same.

I'm trying to remember the name of a game I heard about a while back.

It was an adventure game, I can't remember what it was about but i think it had some of the people who made Monkey Island on the team.

It might have been Vampire Story but i'm not sure.

Thanks

It starts at about 0:25. I think it's called "Halls of the Mountain King" or something like that.

I found it.

Apparently searching for Vista 64 bit SP1 isn't good enough so it was on the 2nd page of the search.

March 18th... I hate Windows update.

Is that out yet?

I've tried the manual download from MS's site and when i try and install it it says i need the 64bit one and looking back through my update history i don't see anything that looks like SP1.

Thanks

Do you by chance have Vista? or a 64bit OS?

BF2142 ran like **** on Vista 64bit with 2gb of RAM.

I think the 64bit caused a memory leak and the fact that 2gb is barely enough for gaming on Vista, you can imagine after the little space left got filled up it turned into a slide show, then it crashed because it hit the 2gb limit per program memory allocation mark and wasn't allowed to put any more stuff in memory.

Also, you have to run it with UAC turned off (or right click the shortcut and hit run as admin) or else you get poor performance too (and punk buster won't run with UAC turned on)

I had that happen. I never did figure out what the problem was.

Sometimes it would fix it's self after i went in there and started unplugging stuff trying to find what the problem was.

Either way i tried 3 power supplies (from working computers), 3 new motherboards and 1 new case.

It would always work after I replaced something, but only for a few months (or weeks in some cases).

I just gave up on it. It's cursed or something.

I did find and artical about it (I lost it though). It just said check the power supply (try one from a working computer), try and start it with out the power switch (touch a paper clip to the to pins the power switch would normaly go over) and if it's not those it's the motherboard and it needs to be replaced.

You don't have enough RAM, I had the same problem when i tried to run with 2gb and Vista.

Upgrade to 3gb.
