About 350-400 value should you sell all that on ebay.

Zanoh

Thanks, yeah I definitely overestimated then. I worked out the market value out at about $950, so if I got 50-60% of that ($500-$600) then it would be worth it. If I'm only going to get $300 back for all my effort then I will probably just keep it.

I am moving overseas and should probably get rid of my Wii stuff while it has some value. I notoriously overprice this kind of thing though, so if you could tell me what you think a fair price is that would be great:

- Wii
- Remote & Nunchuck x2
- Wii Balance Board
- DDR mat
- Wii zapper
- Guitar hero guitar

23 games:
- Wii Sports
- Wii Fit
- Link's Crossbow Training
- New Super Mario Bros Wii
- Super Mario Galaxy
- Super Mario Galaxy 2
- We Ski & Snowboard
- Super Paper Mario
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party
- Red Steel
- The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
- Mario & Sonic At The Olympic Games
- Scarface: The World is Yours
- Tony Hawk's Proving Ground
- Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
- Super Smash Bros: Brawl
- MySims
- Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- Pikmin (new play control)
- Guitar Hero III
- Endless Ocean
- Battalion Wars 2

Other:
- Spy Games: Elevator Mission (This is utter garbage, don't count it)
- Internet channel

My friend and I are bored and wanting to write a story, but we can't decide on a genre or basic idea. It's either gonna be a 5,000-ish word short story or end up being a whole novel type thing.

SUGGESTIONS??? Serious or silly, doesn't matter.

I can post the story here for people to read afterwards if they want too.

Can someone explain to me what has changed recently? I see all these threads about how things are going downhill, memorial threads for people who have been banned, etc.

I have been a longtime (July 2006) Gamespot forum member, specifically OT. For the past year or so I have been a periodic user though (after the Jeff Gerstmann incident all my friends left for a new site my friend made, and I followed)... I only stop by once a week at most, whenever I'm bored. Whenever I have a problem that I don't know the answer for, I always come to OT. It is (was?) one of the most awesome and free forums on the internet. I have 18 items in my Moderation History, yet I'm still here. That is what made these forums awesome. If they are turning the forums all politically correct to appease their corporate overlords, then this is indeed a sad day. Anyway somebody fill me in on what's going on.

A different guy in the US has this too, saw it in the Huffington Post a while ago... no explaination for him either.

If I wasn't an atheist and more kids keep getting it, I'd probably say it were a sign of something. But there must be some kind of extremely rare disorder going on there.

I was embarrassed just to be even wearing a raincoat the other day with cloudy skies and intermittant rain. Most people I saw were just in shorts and a t-shirt, I had to justify my coat to myself by seeing a few people carrying an umbrella.

I haven't had anything like breaking a leg or getting stung by a bee or anything. I guess when I had my wisdom teeth and 4 other teeth surgically removed to make room for braces, in between the percocet there was some pain but I don't remember... enough to keep me awake at night. Also I've dislocated my shoulder twice, but both times I basically went into shock and so filled with adrenaline that I didn't really feel it except having to put it back into place.

Earaches, while not the most painful thing, are aggravating to the point of driving you insane because it makes you want to claw your ears out.

I had the same worries too, but the sheer number of streets in the world means that even players who come late in the game will have a good experience. Obviously yes, after a few weeks the moguls will be constantly battling it out over Washington / Toronto / London / Tokyo, etc... but there are millions of little hick towns all over the world where you can set up camp and just generate wealth without even coming into conflict with another player. It's like playing Risk, only the entire game consists of the start of the game, where you fill the board up with pieces. Yes, Pennsylvania Ave is already worth 1 billion dollars somehow, but there are plenty of other streets in the world. Plus you only start with 3 million monopoly dollars, and streets cost anywhere from 100k at the lowest to 1 million+, so they are going to be around for a while.

I thought this would be more of an OT thing than a PC Gaming section thing...

Was just wondering if anybody else is playing this yet. I heard about it after it launched yesterday. I'll warn you in advance that it's extremely laggy because the servers are getting hammered right now... be patient and prepared to wait 20 seconds after you click for something to happen. You can Google it and read an article, but basically it's Monopoly online for free which uses Google Maps so you can buy any street in the world. The link is www.monopolycitystreets.com.

So far I own 5 streets in my city and I'm worth about $4,000,000.

Since Gamespot doesn't recognize this game and doesn't have a page/forum for it I wanted to discuss strategy too for anyone who plays. How are you going to play? The way I see it, there are two main ways to do it... you can go after all the major worldwide landmarks like Pennsylvania Ave and Downing St, and do lots of high-risk swapping and trading with other players, get sabatoged by other players, etc. Or what I'm doing is just to start from my IRL street in my small town and slowly swallow up all surrounding streets and spread until I essentially own my entire hometown... the only problem so far is getting the cash flow, you have to sit and wait for rent each day.
