Waiting for an Xbox One, like I do with each gen (to let the bugs get worked out and the prices to either come down or the used market to entice) so that I don't have their early adopter buyer remorse as well as there being an expanded library of games. Most games are good enough as is for me on the last gen, so until they come out with some room filling 3D holodeck tech, I'm not jumping just for the arguable bump in quality. As for how this gen plays out, even if the main 2 reverse their fortunes from last gen, it still has both of them in the game, so buy what you want, you must likely aren't putting the other system out of business, nor tearing a legion of users from their install base.

Well, Sony improved its critical review over the life of the PS3 after its launch woes, and its still here, I doubt that the doom and gloomers or the ones who want the competition to outright fail will get that from MS or Nintendo (heck Nintendo being older than most of their grandparents). At the end of the day, hopefully you enjoy yours more than you enjoyed others grief perceived or real.

Sometimes hearing of someone's death, you can't help but think and wish and plead that its just a joke, a harsh prank that quickly will be followed up with just kidding. I can't help but want that cruel joke versus the cruel reality. Rest in peace Ryan Davis, you and your words helped me through some bad times as well as enriched all the rest. My condolences to family and friends.

Because nothing is decided in who wins until after some magically sales numbers after the actual release of the devices, I'll just not buy anybody's doom and gloom comments, nor delve into the fanboy this rules or the other will die. You are mostly dealing with companies that sell more than one thing in Sony and Microsoft, and they'll subsidize whatever and how long in order to stay. As for what looks better, PC will always pull ahead, if not start ahead. Deja vu, this must have happened the last couple of console cycles

Yeah, EA is one of those companies I try not to buy anything from, they screw over the developers and consumers left and right. I'm surprised EA doesn't spend more time in court defending themselves vs finding ways to bind consumers use of the products they stamp their logo on. Really, the only way to stick it to EA is to not buy EA, complaining about them here or to the law seems to produce little change (and all that change goes into lawyer's pockets)

I'll wait for user reviews before rent or buy. Right now, it just reminds me of the MK vs DC game without the MK parts. The cut scenes look great, the game play like its lineage.

For some reason, it was a very endearing system. I bought a second one when my 1st died, and this was well after it's commercial demise. It was fun and powerful, compact (except for maybe the controllers), and even the VU units were novel. Plus, some classic games are always in fashion.

The whole thing is screwed up. A lot of people/companies want more than what they're willing to put into it. Greed abounds on a lot of sides, and the people/companies in the middle are getting screwed over wooow, because of the extreme on the left and right of the 'war'.
