Who needs Q4 (do you agree)?

Ok this post is coming only seconds after my last one, but I need to get this off of my chest. Q4 is already such a huge stack with Halo 3, mass effect, COD 4, SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, but I think that I won't be able to enjoy it because... I'll still be playing Bioshock and MP3.

The thing is, I'm a very sensual gamer, I make sure I explore everything and get the most I can one time through, and then I go back for achievements/extras/etc but at a very slow pace. AKA I suck the life out of my games.

With school, work, job, and these games, Q4 blockbusters are gonna overwhelm me. I know November and December are the big months but don't some of you feel that you need stand out on the street and beg for donations toward your gaming funds?

All I gotta say is, thank god GTA4 got pushed back...

Breaking the Ice...Again...

First off to those of you still with me, I have been doing little in terms of updating my blog over the past few months. I've gotten awfully lazy with it during the summer, but now that fall and school is nearly at hand, I'm picking up on it. These are some of the games I've been playing/watching/discussing while I've been gone:

Dead Rising

Splinter Cell DA

Rainbow Six Vegas

Guitar Hero 2

Mario Strikers Charged

Resident Evil 4 for Wii

Virtual Console updates

XBLA updates

MP3 Corruption

Halo 3 (duh)

Super Mario Galaxy

There's probably more but you get the picture. Anyway I'm happy to start doing this stuff again. And the best part is that since I got a 360 back in April, I finally got online with my gaming. I put my gamertag on the site for you guys.

Anyway, the mario strikers online has not worked yet for me...sigh...I still need to figure it out

Good to see your friendly faces again :D

It's been a while/ Crackdown & Halo 3 or Guitar Hero 2?

I havn't written a blog post in sooo long.  I've been busy with school and playing games rather then writing about them.  The biggest thing that has happened is that about a month and a half ago i got a 360!  It's an amazing console, and I could talk all about it but you get the point.  Anyway, I've been playing Gears alot and am looking to either get guitar hero 2 or crackdown (with the halo 3 beta of course).  I would like some insight on which to get first.  Ah it feels good to write a blog again!

Another Review

Well I had decided that I would finish reviewing all my wii games before I start playing Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, so I just churned out a Wii Sports review.  Check it out if you get a chance.  The only one left is WarioWare, and I might be writing that either tonight or tomorrow, we'll see.

Wii Play Review

I have just finished writing my Wii Play review.  As i said in my previous blog, it kind of disappointed me.  Anyway I'm going to go play some games, see ya!

A Long Needed Update On Things

Sorry that I havn't typed a blog in awhile, I have been busy with many things, including video games! I got a new laptop, and with it I bought a Christmas set. It only cost $50 and came with Half-life, Half-life 2, Half-life 2 Episode 1, and Counter Strike! So far im on the last quarter of Half-life, but I havn't finished it because of the great things happening on the wii.

With so many things coming to the wii, life is so exciting! Every monday the Virtual Console has been updated. I purchaed two wii points cards recently and download 5 games. So far I have 9 games on VC: Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Solomon's Key, Super Mario 64, ComixZone, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kid Icarus, and Ice Climber. Ah what joy.

In terms on new games for the Wii, I picked up my pre-ordered copy of Wii Play (expect a review). I played it and had some fun, but it actually disappointed me a bit. I also got Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz but have yet to play it.

Also, I downloaded the Everybody Votes Channel, and I love it! I think it is a brilliant idea. I don't care if the questions are stupid. The fact is that voting with people around the world is amazing! Hopefully Nintendo makes more channels like this.

Finally, I finished my review on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I know I didn't give it a ten, and it's strange especially since I give EVERYTHING a ten. But I think it's time to tighten my belt and not give out tens as frequently. If every game was a ten, who would need to read reviews?

So that's the scoop. I'm waiting for more VC games, Mario Party 8, and the Wii Controller Charge Station. I will work on beating Half-life and other games. A four day break is coming up, so many eventful things will happen.

Hasta La Vista Baby

Warioware and Virtual Console

I picked up my copy of Warioware. The game is a blast, although it seems a bit short. Nonetheless, the use of the wii and the remote are great, and this is a great party game! I think it's worth the money.

Also, I managed to connect my Wii to the internet, finally. The channels are nice, and of course the shop is my favorite. I bought wii points, and my first purchase is the original Donkey Kong. Gamespot gave it a terrible score but I disagree with their opinion; it's still great. I understand that it's only been 2 months since wii's release, but I was sad that the virtual console selection was not that vast. I expect they'll be adding faster as time goes on, though. That's all I have for now, until later.

Twilight Princess is Beaten!

Well I finally beat the game. It took me 45 hours, but that's because I explored the temples and land in depth. I also got stuck at many of the difficult puzzles, and each took me some time to solve. I'm happy though, because I beat it all without the help of a guide or a walkthrough. Overall I loved the game.  It's so amazing how well an amazing series adapted to the innovation of the wii and its hardware.  If only the bosses had been more of a challenge, it would have been even better. I'll be going back to it frequently to complete it 100%, and I'm contemplating a review, since this game is one to review. Oh happy day!

Twilight Princess: 20 Hours In

So far I have played Twilight Princess for 20 hours. The game is amazing. The puzzles are difficult, but so far I have gone through without getting any help :). I've found the bosses to be intimidating size-wise, but they are sadly little challenge. The graphics are a big improvement in my opinion. The world is a great size, and I love the change in weaponary. I find the story to be excellent and profound, too. Hopefully I can finish it soon.

I Got My Wii!!

This was an amazing day. School was great and I thought I would catch up on some sleep. My cousin calls me and says stores around us got wiis in. I was so excited that I looked around, as did he. We had found nothing :(. Feeling quite dejected, I returned home, sad. But my cousin called EB Games at a mall and they got several dozen in! I went with him, and we picked them up! I'm so happy, as I have been searching for awhile. A little while ago, I pre-ordered Wii Play for the free wiimote at EB. I got Twighlight Princess at Toys R US :). I went to Kmart and landed a huge supply of peripherals: one nunchuck, one virtual controller, and two wiimotes (one for my cousin). I've got enough for a long time. This console is amazing!
