Personally, I like the game a lot. It's so chill, you can just sit there and craft watching re-runs of Night Rider and drinking Mountain Dew with your feet up. It's like a zen experience. Everything is slow, like the entire world is underwater, which is so weird. Combat is ok but it's nothing like FF11, most of the emphasis is on crafting and items. I'm waiting patiently for wicked epic battles like they eventually started getting in FF11 that you'll need large parties for, but I might have to wait a while for it.

Also there are catgirls.. Is there anything better than a catgirl?

It is pronounced like "ease" and there is no other way to pronounce it, though I can see where there might be confusion.

There was an intelligence born into the source code of the game. It's only now been able to manifest itself in some way.. Don't stop.. tr~ying.,, h3l9 h3R`^0--

Is it just me or is this a sausagefest?

Anyway, my wife loves/loved Dragon Quest, Dark Cloud 2, Zelda, and Final Fantasy. She also plays a bunch of obscure strategy games I have no idea what they are, Guardians of Graxia I think is one of them? She loves really great looking games that are also fun all the way through until the end (don't we all?) At any rate she's not a casual gamer.

For casual gamers, try things like Peggle, match 3, Mario Party, Sam & Max. Play on things they already like. If they're golfers, get them to try out Hot Shots Golf (even if they don't like it, it's a way to get them in front of the screen.)

Only, lets not confuse girls with casual gamers, aight?

Jade from Beyond Good & Evil.

I know you're thinking "what, this guy is gay But she's fit, brave, strong, she has depth of character, she's motivated, she's everything most female protagonists aspire to except she didn't get two bubbles stuck on her chest. I admire her more than other VG characters I think are hot, and if she were a real person she'd probably be doing photojournalism in Afganistan or Chile. Just.. So.. Hot..

Why does it have to be ~in school?~

OK, Oregon Trail was the standard back in those days. I also played a survival game where you were a fish and you had to avoid the hazards of living in a lake.

OSHI- OSPREY DIVE DIVE!!!@$#$%

I had a PC at home as well, I played Commander Keen, Doom, and Wolfenstein 3D mainly. iD owns my childhood.

Does that mean it'll play on the PSP? :)

Byshop

Yes, all PS1 games are available to play on the PSP. I've been playing Gaia Seed for a while on that awesome little system, now.

I recently won the Secret of Monkey Island download key (yay!) but when I got the email telling me so I noticed that I mistyped the mail-to address. Can a human please follow up on this issue by sending me a message, to which I can reply with my real mailing address? Thanks guys!

Any game with a boomstick is OK with me. And this one has zombies AND a boomstick.
