Gamespotters, Please see if this essay of intelligence types is worthwhile: Which intelligences are your strongest; which area would be your best toward presenting information; how would you show understanding and in what way would you enjoy others learning information? Every intelligence type here is definitely useful. The intelligence types more useful to me include a musical menu or visual menu. I picked the musical menu because my passion for music can definitely turn in to an educational style. My reason for picking a visual menu is to show that pictures have meanings that create stories. Generally speaking, any activity that we do has some intellectual value. Musical intelligence, along with the seven other types does not have a specific order. This intelligence type can be seen within, singing, explaining lyrics, etc. Singing works well with musical intelligence because familiar and new words are often heard. Explaining lyrics work because they make us think about words differently. However, with artists like Brian Culbertson with songs like Lights off, it requires a different type of educational bearing. This is because he is a jazz musician. Many kids like music so with musical intelligence it is easy to get their attention. The history of musical intelligence is really deep. Traits within its background include instrument playing, composers, etc. Though instrument playing is still an elective within a childs education, it still helps the kid prevail intellectually. Composer skills can help with the childs critical thinking skill as it helps them think about problems in a different manner. We may not think about it but singing helps on a reading level (Bogod, 1998). Visual intelligence is just as creative as the other intelligence mentioned. Examples of its use can be seen in movies, imagination, etc. Movies within visual intelligence are totally obvious as children learn to think creatively. Moreover, imagination fits well here also as kids see a small concept like numbers then turns it into something more. Visual intelligence carries on within a childs repertoire consistently (WillyWalnut, 2002). Out of the two intelligences that I picked, it is easy for me to stick with the music type. I would present music in a way that it is not only fun but also brainy. The music world is very vast but is livelier if you have unique artists like David Hidalgo. Interesting songs by him include Have My Way with You. With musical intelligence activities, it would be my last part of my teaching because students still need assistance with other subjects like science. Kids are very picky with music just like the subjects they learn. When I present information to them in a musical manner, I will need variety of subgenres like new wave. So musical intelligence would work well for me toward giving information as long as it is appealing. With new wave, some interesting musicians would be Malcolm McLaren, Boomtown Rats, etc. Regardless, even at young ages music memory sticks with children as they get older. Furthermore, it is another pinnacle portion in musical intelligence. Since I prefer musical intelligence, it only makes sense to show how I utilize it. Individuals know about musical intelligence if they understand aspects like sounds and rhythms in music. I use music intelligence as a way of anticipating future songs I would make. This is a skill I would use for my classroom. Moreover, musical intelligence comes from concepts like word understanding and clear speaking. Most people have some form of musical intelligenceit just depends on your musical appreciation (Cherry, 2013). My opinion about musical intelligence is it was more understandable in older decades. Subgenres like vocal jazz and new age have musical value. Others like dance pop and metal really do not have any educational value in the form of music. From processing class information, we can see some folks as being music thinkers. We can become great with showing information in school as some of us are born as musical figures. Overall, music is important in school presentations just like other subjects (Conjecture Corporation, 2013). Showing musical intelligence is definitely easy if you are already passionate about music. Musical intelligence is just like English because word understanding is required. The only difference is music involves sounds and kids would likely be more interested in this. I could show musical understanding if my artist variety is engrossing. Some fascinating artists include Herb Alpert and Wiley. Musical intelligence for me can easily give understanding as it is educational and enjoyable. Getting others to understand your teaching in musical intelligence is crucial. For the kids who deal with music often, they would likely sing from how I was teaching. This action makes musical intelligence a respectful facet. Just like any music teacher, regardless of the positive music I playI expect them to sing or do body movement with the song while still being educationally involved. Musical intelligence is definitely a work of the century (Piper, 2003). Visual intelligence should be a useful tactic to make kids understand schoolwork. This is because kids like pictures and it gets them more involved with schoolwork. So obviously I would have pictures scattered in my classroom while teaching my students subjects. I would go even further by talking to my kids about what do the chosen pictures mean to them. This is because there are many words to show what a picture means. To me this intelligence types makes me think of art classes. A lot goes into showing kids the importance of visual intelligence. Unsurprisingly, this intelligence has to be born in youngsters from the beginning. Of course I would want my students to be spontaneous about the works of art, regardless of its generation. Visual intelligence is amazing as it deals with the surroundings of our universe. With careers it is very widespread as it is beneficial for architects, photographers, etc (Personality Max, 2013).
