Gamespotters, I have an essay here on teacher concepts so please look at it (sorry for some explicit parts): Intrinsic rewards to teaching also extrinsic rewards; discuss and name student diversity types in class; social problems affecting todays students; skills that make teachers meet students needs and list several? There are definitely several kinds of rewards to teaching. I can easily say that these award types are complete opposites. Teachers definitely need to use the most appropriate type when teaching students. Intrinsic and extrinsic rewards go toward two motivation types. Intrinsic rewards go toward being interested in learning regardless of the subject. Obviously, extrinsic rewards go toward being involved in activities by being barely interested and not looking for rewards. Still, extrinsic motivation is needed in an individuals life regardless of being intrigued or uninterested. Behavior psychologists further say that extrinsic rewards are common because of a persons addiction to being drawn toward activities. For instance, smarter students will take advantage to understand any subject whether if it is physiology, algebra, etc. Many students see intrinsic rewards in school as being the likes of recess. Within teaching obviously, they see the learning of countless subjects as being stressful (Kaplan, 2010). As your school life progresses, student diversity definitely becomes problematic. This is mostly in college because many scholars are Caucasian and Asian. This is not a serious problem but student diversity definitely makes a school more appealing. At university colleges for example, I often expect to see various types of Caucasians and Asians in classrooms. Whether they are English, Irish, Scottish, Chinese, Japanese, Filipinothe list goes on. Simply out these race types dominate colleges. Because of these high percentages, diversity training becomes intact. The roots of this training come from the segregation of Africans and Caucasians in schools. Diversity training further ties in to the U.S. Equal Opportunity. This ruling shows that within school, students should not be judged based on gender, ethnicity, national origin, etc. Diversity training is needed because it lowers problems based on appearance. This is based on several factors within harassment, adversaries, and aggression. Diversity training works within classrooms because of the training, items, and group order obviously given. This training can be useful in schools if it tells stories related to the problems of racism (Evans, 2013). For a while social problems often affected the performance of students. There are many factors which include family, money, other students, etc. Thankfully there are still ways to cope with these dreadful problems. I believe that the biggest problems affecting todays students is school costs. The schools serve a purpose here as they should find ways to make their area a better working environment. Obviously racism is a quandary at schools and even though teachers can stop this in classrooms, outside of them is another story. Minority groups often had frustrations in the school system. If all this money helped out private schools, the same should go toward students from minority backgrounds. The economy is seen as troublesome for the kids who want to go to college. A study from National Center for Education Statistics shows the frequency of school dropouts. The reasoning behind this is money and mostly low income students do this to help out their family. Drugs definitely were a known social problem within schools. These items led to horrendous events within the likes of pregnancy, heists, and killings. The school world is not perfect but scholars should not be victims of the society (Sheahan, 2013). Versatility definitely plays a strong role in teaching. To become an experienced teacher, you have to adapt differently in your classrooms. Simply put, the more you teach the easier it becomes. Every teacher is different and some are better than others. Several teacher skills include informal instruction, direct instruction, inquiry based learning, cooperative learning, and information processing strategy. Informal instruction is a minor way of talking to students. This skill is pretty much used in the beginning of school as part of events like name games. Direct instruction is a common teacher skill dealing with lecturing. This is often seen in college but is only somewhat useful. This is because students have to write down the information given by the teacher at a rapid pace. Inquiry based learning works as a skill for teachers in problem solving and creative thinking. This method is definitely student oriented and can seriously be seen as creative teaching. Cooperative learning is a skill by teachers that involves having scholars in small groups. It relates to differentiation as the groups of students often have varied education levels.
