@seldom-fat @DETfaninATL graphic is important here because it could add atmosphere. More darker rooms, moving lights - no dynamic lightning as was in DEMOs and so. It is not about stuff as textures sharpness or mage usage of HDR.
@noctislucis21 @LuisCruz30 ok finished it on bad ass and disliking it. From the second half ( to the first half I would rate 6/10) all problems started to be more apparent and game was really frustrating. Glad there is an end and climax of uninstaling it.Those 4 points are maybe too much.
@JustinRiden They needed to finish it in release date. There could be some paragraphs in contract about sanctions if the game will be released later or something. hard to say...
@Defenseman13 @metalgrinch The lack of atmosphere is because bad technology, they showed in demo and in final product, it is missing. It would not mask bugs, not the fact it is a shooter, but it would add ton of atmosphere.
I would really like to hear reasons, why Gearbox did that and if they will try and change that at least as some update. Free of charge of course.
@LuisCruz30 Big problem with ACM is the fact, it was presented as a game with beautiful graphics with its demo. You find comparison of demo vs final product here. Seems they used anotehr technology for a demo or pre-render... if the game used graphics in the demo with its nice dynamic lightning, the experience could be like +3 points up at least. And I enjoy the game, not the best title, got lots of problems but still I agree it is not 4,5 game. Maybe it deserves this score after the PR and marketing stuff though...
@Metallicwolf29 AvP 1, 2, 2010 were great games. maybe not perfect, but really nice. If this one would have graphics from a demo, it would have nice deep atmosphere. It would be still shooter, but would like +3p more than is result od this review.
Also think, 4,5 is too low. 6/10 is more appropriate. I got actually fun in singleplayer and escape is nice in multiplayer too, thoough I would like to see more players than 4x4 or 5x5 in another mode...
@happyemonathan Yeh, one guy posted this here some while ago from Videogamer.com. I am shocked too... I do not think, it is that hard to make that in UT3engine tools...
