The thing is that there is no good or evil, it is a matter of perspective. What for some is good, others may perceive it as wrong. That is where Witcher made a good job. For example take the elven and dwarven terrorists; their cause is just, because elves and dwarves are oppressed, but at the same time they kill and rob often innocent people. In real life this is very similar, you have to decide what do you think about abortion or death penalty, and stuff like that. All of these choices exits in Witcher, and you have to choose what do you believe, should you involve, and face the consequences, witch are not immediate. So things like morality meters have nothing to do with real morality, they are just a part of the game mechanics in kotor or similar games. I think Witcher is by far the most advanced game in terms of in-game morality, and actually this is the reason witcher is a good game. If it werent for that witcher would have been just an average action rpg.

Cant wait to see how Witcher 2 will improve choices system over the first one.. I really enjoyed all the difficult choices in Witcher, unlike Bioshocks save the little sisters, witch had absolutely no affect on the gameplay at all, besides the 3 different ending movies, wow i looked all of them in 5 mins on youtube. Havent played Dragon Age yet, but i intend to, it seems to have an interesting model as well..
