Yes, Supreme Commander II was pretty disappointing. The graphics were nice, but they overhauled everything I liked about the first game. However, if they simply updated the graphics and nothing more, I'm sure a lot of people would have complained.

I loved Sudden Strike too.

Have you played Blitzkrieg? It's somewhat old now, but it is in the essence of Sudden Strike and a worthy successor.

Mirror's Edge is easily one of the best games I've played in recent times. It's a shame about the length though, it ended all too quickly.
