Hello all,

My friend and I are trying to settle a bit of dispute when it comes to beating a game, and beating a game what I would call well. As a small example, if you beat the original Half-Life but died 20+ times during the final boss fight ( on Hard ), yes you've beaten the game, but what does that say about your overall skill level?

I guess the question to my fellow gamers here is this, does it matter more to beat the game on the highest difficulty only dying a few times or getting 100%, etc; Or is beating the end boss the only thing that matters?

I have to say I almost agree with Jinroh_basic in that the game should be labeled as a simulation rather than an RPG. It certainly takes more from a simulation than from an RPG in combat and "realism", since the only thing that doesn't really work out in life would be the world. All in all though, a better game than a 6.0, at least a 7 since there aren't many games, even big budget that match it in subtle complexity.
