I made the switch last summer and I'm more then pleased with my decision. I don't think 'll be going back anytime soon. Well at least till I see what naughty dog is bringing to the table. The community on pc is so much better then on consoles. I have not once dealt with a ignorant/racist/homophobic/dumb juvenile kids since I built the thing. Which is such a refreshing change of pace, that I don't think I'm ever willing to do online gaming on a console again. If you want just get a computer version of the 360 controller works for every game out there.

I think it depends on the game. I think PC gamers are way more uptight if you are new to a game and give you a hard time for it. I was booted from a Payday game the other day because someone told me to do something and I asked. I think PC gamers take the competition thing to another level.

Call of Duty is a lowest common denominator game. That's why it sells millions. It's accessible, and it's fun enough. That said, it doesn't change much from game to game. Changing the maps is not significant enough as is making a new engine or upgrading the animations or even eliminating the terrible lag that is in the game.

I still like Call of Duty as a series, but I really wish fans would see it for what it is. There is nothing significantly upgraded even from Call of Duty 4 to Black Ops 2. Pick 10 is a gimmick and makes you pick multiple perks to do what other games let you do with one.

Sony does seem to copy things a lot. Trophies and a very similar Wii remote.

Halo 4 isn't nearly as bad as people say it is. There are some things that need to be ironed out, but I think it was a good first attempt at making the series interesting again. I'm a LONGTIME Halo fan. It was my first console shooter and I've been playing it ever since the first Xbox. We can't be playing the same game over and over. Halo needed something new, and 343 tried to deliver. I think Halo 5 will be amazing with all that they learned from Halo 4. Bungie wasn't perfect either. Just look at Halo 2 and Reach. And honestly, I find that it has more replay value than anything on a Playstation platform. Killzone and Resistance just don't cut it. And Call of Duty is nowhere near as good.

I really liked it. Best game I've played all year, so I don't think you will be disappointed.

I completely agree. Especially on Search and Destroy. I can handle it in TDM, but it eliminates any strategy when someone can hear you even when crouching.

Yeah, I think it feels just like all the other Halos. Playing with Active Camouflage actually reminds me of Crysis.

It's funny how it seems that people think that fps's sucked before Halo and that it was delivered on high from the gods of gaming and delivered us from mediocrity or something. Halo was an alright game but it really shouldn't be considered the epitome of the genre. There are much better fps's that came before and after it. Anyway in answer to the original question I'd say Half Life.

Shooters didn't necessarily suck before Halo, but Halo refined the genre and brought it on consoles. I like Half-Life, but health regeneration needed to come to the genre. Halo popularized it and it's in pretty much every shooter. I don't know how anyone can possibly want to go back to the Half-Life method of destroying every crate to find health or quicksaving and reloading when a firefight didn't work out as planned. Somehow there are still people that think this way is more hardcore. I think the AI was better than anything else out at the time, with a universe that you cared about. And it showed that console FPS could work, evidenced by the way the control scheme is copied in every game nowadays. There aren't many FPSs that you can say are better than Halo (with the exception of maybe Half-Life 2).

So you would rather a HD remake than a brnad new fully fledged game?

Ok Ombre

Zaibach

I'm not a fan of the MGS series. I think it's highly overrated and has a really rabidness fanbase who would buy pretty much anything with Metal Gear slapped on the box.

I am not a fan of Zelda either, but I wouldnt stand for a HD remake of A link to the past just because Zelda fans are insufferable, and believe me, they are.

Kojima Productions havent done anything in almost 3 years, a HD remake would be a monumental waste of Time

I'm both a Zelda and a MGS fan. They're both great franchises, that deliver exactly what their fanbases want. Especially MGS4 in that regard.

I like Call of Duty, but again, it's nothing compared to Halo. I think it has such mass appeal because it is accessible. If you want to play a game that takes skill, play Halo.
