Some games that have been free for a while for PC are Elder Scrolls Arena, and Daggerfall. If anyone likes the elder scrolls series, they should definitely try out the first two games in the series.
I feel like you get more with a physical copy. You get art all over the box, on the disc, and in the booklet. Also, I like collecting games and it feels like more of a collection when I can look at them on shelves. I would be very disappointed if they stopped releasing physical copies.
Mortal Kombat Armegeddon and Mortal Kombat vs. DC probably win for the most disapointment. Mortal Kombat was a series with so much potential. For some reason they decided to throw it all away with armegeddon. Armegedon was horrible. One of the worst fighting games i ever played. Then Midway couldn't even let the series rest in peace. They had to overkill it with Mortal Kombat vs. DC. MK vs. DC had a small selction of characters, really crappy fighting system and stupid minigames. The test your might, Klose Kombat, and Free Fallin' were only good the first time. After that i realized they were lame.
Runner Up: Guitar Hero World Tour
Guitar Hero 3 was an amazing game. It is probably the best music game (besides Rockband 2). I didn't think Neversoft could ruin such a great game. However they did. Guitar Hero 4 ruined the game. They should have left it as guitar (thus the name "Guitar Hero") However they were so greedy and felt it was neccessary to create a band. Also, the band gameplay was not as good as rock band. Guitar Hero World Tour was basically a rip off of Rock Band.
