I am pretty good with working with computers.. but i have not much knowledge on wireless networks. I had just purchased a Netgear wndr3700 wireless router to replace my linksys wrt54gs. How do u tell what wireless family you have or the fastest you can support.. A, B, N, G etc. I currently have DSL with speeds up to 354kbps. I know i need cable. Will I gain a speed boost between the upgraded router? Or is DSL just not so sufficient? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Seen the lens work by pushing on right side of drive, couldnt get to spin yet, but i'm getting there. I think the linkage might just be off on the case. I'll let you know. Any suggestions, thanks

I ordered the new lens and deck( The dual lens version )80GB ps3. Replaced it, connected ribbon cabels. Powered up and still not working, light doesnt come on. But gearing sounds like it moves. I have to push disk in, which isnt right, but when i eject, it ejects fine. And lens kinda moves for a split second. But it doesnt light or blink. The light next to the power light flashes. What i need to know if anyone can help is what triggers the bluray lens to flash and the spinner to spin. Just so i can see if this works. Thanks any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, i tried all the easy things first. Tried inserting a cleaning disk, format hard drive, in case it was a software issue, and also restored ps3 to factory defaults. Still nothing. I am confident in doing it myself and it may just come to that. Thanks for the help everyone

Just one year with the option of another year through Gamecrazy store at the time. I usually never get extended warranties. Another $50 or so for something that shouldnt be broken in the first place. Maybe thats the wrong way to think, i dunno.

Thanks for the feedback. Thats why I'm torn. Do I just break down the $150, possibly spend more getting it repaired, spend around $75 or so to do it myself. Spend around $300 for a new PS3. Now if I crack it open and try and do it myself, will sony still even look at it for the $150. I think if you open it, they wont even look at. I dont play my PS3 often, I was actually trying to get into playing more. Play X360 more. It sounds as though this Bluray is a problem for many people. Would be nice if they would recognize this like x360 RROD and help people out a little more. I had my PS3 for about 17 months, so really there shouldnt be nothing wrong with it, its still new and I take care of it.
