I'll probably love this game like I've loved all of DF's other games, but I really think that they need to create a game that could support a mod community in some way, a game that dedicated fans could play for years. At the moment I can't think of one DF game that could support any kind of mod community, and I think that this all comes back to the fact that they generally control the story and don't allow for player agency. Everything they do is very controlled and on their own terms, I'd like to see one game from them that didn't have a large overarching storyline.
@tracead33live @TheThoughtless1 That article says nothing about Microsoft leading with any kind of market share, all that article talks about is the fact that the videogame industry as a whole is still growing and that videogames brought in the biggest amount of gross profit last year among consumer media's.
Unnecessary fee, they just want to suck every cent out of the consumer, as if Microsoft doesn't gross enough as it is. This is just another example of no profit being high enough for these big businesses.
@JFERNANDEZ84 Even if it was released on the Xbox, it wouldn't sell at all in Japan and it would most likely only move about 1/3 the units that it will move on the PS3 in the US. The studio has said something similar in the past.
@ilantis Ferrystones where what let you fast travel in the main game, but they could only be used once. The eternal ferrystone has unlimited uses, if you'd actually played the game before you should know this.
I was not expecting Gamespot to be the first to the party on this one. On a side note I don't feel that criticizing an indie games graphics to that degree is necessary, if it was in the hands of a AAA team, then yeah, I'd understand, but here it's unwarranted.
