It doesn't happen often but when it does loading another game and then going back to the one that wouldn't seems to fix it, also a fresh reboot works.
I checked the official xbox forums and other people are experiencing the same thing, I'll give MS a call and see what they know.
*Update
Got off the phone with support and they told me its a hardware issue a lot of people have been calling in about. The xbox works fine most of the time but they will send a replacement in 2 days.
It's good to know they're taking care of you so quickly. I remember being told I'd have to wait over a week on one of my 360 units. Thanks for sharing this with us. :)
Yeah, they have gotten a lot better and it looks like they are giving people a free game for their troubles.
