Support the Movement

I had the pleasure and displeasure of playing Mass Effect 3 this week. Boy, this game was completely amazing, with some of the best writing I've ever seen. Except the ending. It was awful, and as a fan, I felt betrayed.

So if anyone wants to support the movment for Bioware making a better ending, please follow and like:

Waddup! / Happy Holidays!

The Holidays are here, and school is out. What's not to love? In this blog, I'll be wishing you holiday cheer and giving a few updates.

The New 52 has arrived, and here's a list of the great titles I'm collecting:

Action Comics, Animal Man, Batwing, Justice League International, Swamp Thing, Batman & Robin, Green Lantern, Grifter, Batman, Justice League Nightwing, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Aquaman, The Flash, Green Lantern: New Guardians, Justice League Dark.

The titles that stand out the most, that I'm really enjoying are Green Lantern, Grifter, The Flash, Action Comics, and Batman & Robin. These characters are incredibly interesting, and the books are very well written, I can't wait for more.

I've lessened how much I get as individual issues though. I get tired of collecting them, and I'm running out of space. So I am slowly transitioning into collecting only trade paperbacks and hardcovers. Just recently I bought Green Arrow vol. 1: Quiver, Batman: Heart of Hush, and The Flash vol. 1: Blood Will Run. I can't wait for them to show up! Other tpbs I'm planning on picking up soon are Batgirl vol. 1: Batgirl Rising, Teen Titans vol. 1: A Kid's Game, Y: The Last Man vol. 1 Deluxe Edition, and Batman: Face the Face.

I recently finished reading Batman Incorporated: Leviathan Strikes! All I have to say is that my mind is blown. Grant Morrison hit it out of the ballpark yet again.

My favorite character in Invincible, Allen, has also turned into a not-so-good- guy. I understand his reasoning, but it's always sad to see a character you love go dark.

Oh yeah, and The Human Torch's return from death was AWESOME.

Recently, I watched My Idiot Brother. It was mainly advertised as a comedy, but it turned out to be a dramedy. I really didn't mind it being not how I expected it to be, it was a really great, heartfelt movie. If I were to rate it, I'd give it and 8.5/10

Along with My Idiot Brother, I also watched Fright Night. Anton Yelchin is easily one of my favorite younger actors, and he certainly didn't disappoint. Colin Farrell made a great vampire, and David Tennant was awesome as Peter Vincent. It's not very scary, but it's more so action-y, and it was pretty great. This is how you do a vampire movie! 9/10.

There are a few movies that I am heavily looking forward to seeing, and those movies would be: The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, 21 Jump Street, Project X, The Dictator, Prometheus, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Hobbit Part I, American Reunion, GI Joe: Retaliation, and Men In Black III. The trailers for all of these movies look great, I'm really hoping GI Joe and Men In Black will redeem themselves, because the movies that came before were terrible.

How I Met Your Mother is quickly becoming my favorite show. Mainly because the show is ALWAYS on. It provides me with many laughs. Neil Patrick Harris is easily the funniest, but it also has a fantastic supporting cast in Jason Segel, Alyson Hannigan, and Cobie Smulders, and Josh Radnor does a good job of playing the nice-guy protagonist, Ted Mosby.

The Walking Dead's mid-season finale greatly impressed me. For a semi-slow paced half season, it really brought up the intensity. One peeve of mine is that they veer away from certain things that happen in the comics. But I still love the show greatly and need to learn to treat it and the comics as two separate entities. I can't wait until it returns, and I hope that my favorite character from the comics, Tyreese will show up.

The League recently ended its third season. The finale was kind of lackluster, but I still laughed a few times. One thing that's great about it is that there's always something to laugh about when watching. I'm incredibly glad that it got picked up for a fourth season. I look forward to each and every new episode. If you haven't seen it, watch it. Now!

In preparation for Mass Effect 3, I replayed Mass Effect 2 to make sure I have all of the decisions I want to carry over into the third game just right. I really enjoyed this playthrough, because I visited and explored every planet, and finished just about every side mission that was given to me. This game is near perfection. I've already got Mass Effect 3's collector's edition on pre-order, and it's going to be a first day buy. This is one of, if not, my favorite game series ever.

For Christmas I got a lot of great things, the only thing I can say that I'm disappointed about is that I didn't get Skyrim. So the wait continues. But I did get some pretty cool stuff which includes: a Kindle Fire, The Hangover Part II, an iPod dock, a Nintendo 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land, a Darkwing Duck t-shirt, and a pair of Wampa Star Wars Edition Adidas. I can say I had a pretty great Christmas this year, and my family enjoyed the gifts I gave them.

The Life and Times of The-Tree

So, school started up, I've been in for a week. I'm liking my c14$$3s and seeing my friends again, but I hate the work. But I'm really digging Drama, Spanish II, World History and Pre-Ap English II, the teachers are awesome and I've met some pretty cool people. Algebra II is confusing as hell though, if anyone's got tips, I'll be openly accepting them. So, here's to hoping sophomore year is better than freshman year!

I've rented and seen a few movies lately, so I'm gonna rate them.

Your Highness: 6/10 An alright movie, that's really just potty humor, that provides a few cheap laughs and you get a nice view of Natalie Portman's sweet, sweet ass. But you can see that for free if you just Goggle image search Your Highness. :P

Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: 10/10 the movie's perfect, I've been watching it every time I go to bed for the past three weeks.

30 Minutes or Less: 8/10 It was a pretty funny movie, I love Aziz Ansari, the bank robbery has to be one of the funniest things I've seen all year.

Gamespot's Off-Topic forum has gotten me to start watching Breaking Bad. I'm glad they did, because it's an incredible show. Bryan Cranston(Who played Malcolm's dad in Malcolm in the Middle) is a wonderful actor. It always keeps me in suspense. It has such a great premise, and I look forward to every episode, it's now one of my favorite shows! And if you haven't seen it, I suggest you start Netflixing it ASAP!

I've discovered that one of my new favorite comedy shows has been cancelled. Outsourced. Damn you NBC, damn you. It was the funniest show on there, and I am incredibly disappointed. There's a campaign going on for the show to be saved, all I can do is hope that some other network picks it up, or NBC gets their heads straight and brings back this hilarious show.

In other news, during San Diego Comic Con, I got pumped for one of NBC's new fall dramas, it's called Grimm. And it's basically a modern detectiving twist on the Brother's Grimm tales. It sounds pretty interesting and gives me a very Supernatural vibe. If it turns out to be great, I hope NBC doesn't be stupid and cancel this too.

It seems that the CW is looking for another superhero to fill in their Smallville gap, now that it's over. And who's the hero they're going for? Deadman! You read that right, our favorite acrobatic ghost may be coming to a small-screen near you! I for one am very excited, and apparently it's got the backing of Eric Kripke, whom created Supernatual.

I cannot wait for October 16th, one of my favorite shows will make it's return: The Walking Dead. It's going to be a great day, because this show is fantastic, and, October 16th is my birthday, I think AMC had me in mind when the chose that date.

I've decided to continue following Daredevil, it's a great read, and it's one of the only Marvel titles I pick up, can't wait for issue 3.

The DC relaunch is fastly approaching, and I'ma tell you what I'm getting:

Action Comics
B. 4. T. W. 1. N. G.
Green Arrow
Justice League International
Men of War
Red Lanterns
Swamp Thing
Batman & Robin
Green Lantern
Legion Lost
My Greatest Adventure
Resurrection Man
Captain Atom
DC Universe Presents
Green Lantern Corps
Red Hood and the Outlaws
Batman: The Dark Knight
The Flash
New Guardians
Justice League Dark
Teen Titans
Justice League

My wallet is currently giving me the finger.

I'll probably drop a lot of them if I start to dislike the direction they're taking with certain titles.

I also picked up the first volumes of Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol, and Keith Giffen's Justice League International, I can't wait to read them.

And I've been checking out my friend's Transmetropolitan collection, it' a great series, I'm about 3 volumes in, and I'm really into it, y'all should check it out. It's a great series, with a badass and hilarious protagonist. It may be funny, but it can get you to think as well.

Here are the following games I'm excited about

Dead Island looks to be one of the greatest zombie games ever made, I can't wait to give it a play.

Batman: Arkham City is going to be the greatest Batman game ever, and the greatest comic book game. Day one buy right here.

I'm incredbly excited to play Battlefield 3 with my buddies.

Assassin's Creed: Revelations is going to be just another great Assassin's Creed game, I love the story.

I can't wait to relive all of my Halo: Combat Evolved memories.

I'm really big into the Forza series, and Forza 4 looks great. Me and my BFF will have a blast playing this online together. :P

On the Youtubez, I've been watching a ton of Watsky videos, the dude puts out a great message, and he's got some very inspirational and awesome raps and poems. This is the most inspirational thing I've ever seen: Go Big, Young Friends

I've been listening to Darwin Deez a lot, he's always got a good rythm, he's weird, and he puts out some great music!

I've also been listening to a lot more Red Hot Chili Peppers in anticipation of their upcoming album!

I'm feelin' worked, there's just waaay too much homework, I don't know how I'll find the time to keep myself entertained!

On the plus side, there's this really cute girl I met in my World History c14$$ and I'm going to start talking to her more, I think the ice has already been broken, as we were both paired up together for a project. Lucky? I think so.

I've also been really focused on religion a lot lately. I've been swaying over from Christian more into Agnostic, and I don't know why but talks of religion kind of freaks me out. But I've had some faith restored a little after watching a cool Youtube video, I'm not saying what I believe is correct, but I'll see when I get there. If what I believe turns out to be wrong, what can I say? Whatever happens, happens.

And if any of you live in the area that's being hit by Hurricane Irene, I wish the best of luck to you, and hope you stay safe, my hopes and prayers be with you.

Peace Out,

The-Tree! Blogging triumphant, or gone in a flash!?

Hey, waddup my Game-Spotters!

I'm doing my first blog in awhile, oh my god, I can't really believe it's been about five months since my last real blog! Will I stay? Or will I get lazy and not keep up with the whoe blogging thing? The world may never know!

Well, here's the haps. (Yeah, I say haps.)

I've read a ton of stuff in my absence from blogging, too much to bring up, so I'll just give the highlights.

DC is starting a company-wide relaunch. Which means some comics are getting cancelled, every comic is getting renumbered back to #1, a lot of costume changes, retconning of terrible/stupid stories, and making key characters younger.

Meet the new Justice League!

Check out Dick back as Nightwing! I like his costume, but I really wish it was blue.

Barbara Gordon is now Batgirl again! How she regained use of her legs? No clue, we'll find out in September.

Aaaand, those were the major things.---

With DC releasing the new 52 comics, they will no longer have a Red Robin series, or a Booster Gold series, that makes me really sad. Especially since Booster is my favorite superhero and Tim Drake is my favorite member of the bat-family.

Moment of silence....

 Red Robin was always a fantastic series, and issue #25 left us with a taste of what it could've been if the series continued, he even had his own Red Robin cave built under the theater Bruce's parents were murdered.

Booster will forever live on in my heart.

--Onto current comics...

I've been reading Scott Snyder's Detective Comics run, it's super awesome, some of the best stuff I've read, it's the definitive Dick Grayson Batman story.

Sinestro is now THE Green Lantern, he took over Hal Jordan's place at the end of War of the Green Lanterns, it was a really good story, I just hope Hal gets to be main GL again very soon. This pink bastard better not be sticking around! :P

Flashpoint has started, it's a great story, and I love this alternate reality Geoff Johns has created, such wonderful characters. My favorite part about this universe is that Thomas Wayne ended up being Batman instead of Bruce. (Bruce got shot in the alley instead) And Martha Wayne is Thomas' Joker. I can't wait to see Flash confront Reverse Flash, and fix the timeline!

Oh yeah, and I started reading some Marvel, my favorite series is Venom, it's awesome as hell, and I've always had a love for the character. I also got into Daredevil, it's pretty dang cool!

I'm just gonna go over a few good movies I've seen.

I gotta say, I really enjoyed this film, very complex and original. This is my favorite movie of 2011.

I saw Captain America today, and it was pretty awesome, I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see The Avengers finally assemble! This movie is as good as Thor. My favorite character wasn't Cap though, it was actually Bucky, I'm really hopeful that they do a Winter Soldier movie for him or put him in a CA sequel, that'd be AWESOME, with a capital AWES.

I'm sad to say that I didn't really like Green Lantern though, it was okay at best. If there was one word to describe it, the word would be "cheesy." It makes me really sad, since I'm a HUGE Green Lantern fan, I don't know how they went wrong, they definitely should've stuck closer to the source material, it would've been far better if they just adapted Green Lantern: Secret Origins.

Oh yeah, and as for 2012 superhero movies are concerned, I'm most pumped for The Avengers, The Amazing Spider-Man, then The Dark Knight Rises, in that order.

That's all for movies!

I recently got into Adventure Time, it's very childish and ridiculous, but I LOVE it! Where was this show when I was growing up? My childhood would've been 100x more awesome if it existed then, I guess it was just meant to provide my teenhood with hilarity.

Workaholics is one of my new favorite shows as well, it's so funny, it's one of those rare comedies where I can actually laugh at each and every episode, even if it's a re-run. It comes on Comedy Central, WATCH IT!

The people of Gamespot's Off Topic forum have gotten me into this show, I'm a brony and I'm proud. It's a freaking incredible cartoon.

I've also really gotten into the show Bucket & Skinner's Epic Adventures, I'm a sucker for bro shows, and I may be 15 and a half, but I still love me some good, clean Nickelodeon.

Matt and Kim dominate my iPod, I can't get enough of them, I can listen to each of their songs 100x over, and I still won't be bored of them, their highly original and very energetic, I love them a lot. They even played on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night, and it was awesome. I definitely hope I get to see them in concert one day.

The marketing team for Old Spice is godly. They've provided me with many a LOL. Recently Fabio has been doing Old Spice commercials, and on Youtube, Fabio has challenged the Old Spice guy to a duel! This is a battle for the ages, Mano a Mano in el Bano has been going on on Youtube on Old Spice's channel, these two are just waaay too funny! You've gotta check it out!

I Saw the Best Episode of Family Guy Ever Last Night!

So it seems I missed an episode. The news reported that a black hole was going to destroy the earth, but it was really just an April Fools prank. What made it so funny, some might ask? Peter took crystal meth, and then later became king of the black people.

Go check it out, the episode is called Apirl in Quahog.

It's not too much of a real blog, but hey, it's a start, and this was just too funny! :)

Bored and Infuriated

I pretty much had this blog finished about an hour ago, but, as I was about to add the song of the blog, safari crashed, I'm now infuriated. I've been pretty bored lately, so let me tell you what's up. I've been having this itch to play some PS2, I really want to play Ratchet and Clank, Jak and Daxter, Killzone, Kingdom Hearts, and FFX, so I'm definitely going to re-buy a PS2 when I get 'mo money! :P

So, I heard Kid Cudi was going to release a new album this summer, it's said to be a rock album, which sounds interesting. I hope that it's better than Man on the Moon II. If the songs are like Erase Me, then I have no worries, that was the best song from MotM2.

I also found this amazing artist on Youtube, his name's Darwin Deez, he's really good and y'all should check him out.

I'm starting to think that DC comics is racist! There killing all of their ethnic heroes! A few months ago the Titans killed Ryan Choi aka The Atom II. And now, this month, they killed Jaime Reyes, the only Mexican superhero I've ever heard of! I'm just kidding though, :P I love DC with all of my heart, but I am sad that they killed Jaime, I was starting to like him.

I'm also thinking about getting some TPB's so if you know any good comic stories that are both Marvel and DC, let me know.

The Walking Dead got seriously intense, it's becoming one of my favorite non DC series. There's so many deaths in this book that it isn't even funny! But I have to say, it's very enjoyable, and The Governor is one of the most sick villains I've ever seen.

I watched All-Star Superman last night, it was another amazing DC animation. The story was fantastic and I really loved the end. They definitely nailed the greatness of Superman in this one. It was a good note to end on for Dwayne McDuffie as well, may he rest in peace.

I really want to see Cedar Rapids, Take Me Home Tonight, and Hall Pass, they look incredibly funny. Too bad that I have to wait to see Cedar Rapids until it comes out on DVD because my movie theater is stupid and doesn't get limited release movies!

I also want to see Unknown, Buried, and The Adjustment Bureau. I love Liam Neeson, Ryan Reynolds, and Matt Damon.

AND! The trailer for The Hangover 2 just released! I'm super excited and can't wait to see how they pull it off! :D

Chuck is getting super intense, I can't wait to see what happens with Casey, I hope he doesn't leave the team! And, the rise of Volkoff Industries is just enough to leave me wanting more! If you haven't seen this shoe, then how dare you! I recommend that you watch it immediately!

I was excited to see Young Justice last Friday, until I realized that CN was showing that stupid sports award show! It's called CARTOON Network for a reason!

Supernatural was really funny last Friday, it was hilarious seeing the guys play themselves in an alternate reality.

I also loved last Friday's Smallville, it was the perfect comedy filler episode. Emile's Elvis impersonation was hilarious. And you could tell that they were definitely trying to copy The Hangover. I can't wait to see next week's episode, it's going to feature the introduction of the Smallvilleized Superboy.

I REALLY want to play Marvel vs. Capcom 3, when I get the money, that's one of my top priorities!

I definitely have to preorder Infamous 2 Hero Edition and Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel Edition! They look amazing!

2011 is going to be a great year and I cannot wait to play all of it's glorious games!

Snow, Zombies, and Lost Hands...

It's Been Awhile...

This was me...

I've missed you all. I haven't blogged in awhile due to laziness, sickness, and me just plain not feeling like it.
I've had to suffer through tons of school work and lack of free time, I hardly get any sleep. Currently my town is being pelted by a big snowstorm, so, no school tomorrow, yay! So, let's get this started.

I got Fallout: New Vegas for Christmas, I was weary of it because of all the reviews complaining about the glitches and such. I'm glad I waited, because I haven't come across any problems, and it hasn't hindered my overall experience with the game. Overall, the story's solid, and as always, I still love exploring the wasteland, it's a great game.

I also got Medal of Honor for Christmas, it's a pretty good game. I played through the campaign once, the story wasn't too great and the multiplayer is decent, it's a game I play mainly just to pass time. It's not something to play all the time, but it was solid, if they make a sequel, the biggest thing they need to work on is the campaign, the story was pretty boring.

DC Universe: Online is a game that I've been wanting to play for awhile. I'm going to eventually buy it with a life time subscription on the PC, seeing as it is a good deal. Being a HUGE DC comics fan, I can't wait to get it, I'll probably have it within a few months.

With the release of the Mass Effect 3 teaser, I am now pumped! I'm playing through the first two games to enhance the excitement, and make sure that I get my Shepard story completely perfected. This is definitely going to be a day one, preordered, collector's edition buy for me! :D

I saw Tron: Legacy the weekend it came out, Jeff Bridges was great, the effects were awesome, and it was a great movie. I'm hoping for a sequel.

127 Hours looks like a great movie, I'm a big James Franco fan. I've yet to see it because my theater doesn't show limited release movies. So, I'm waiting for a DVD release.

I saw this movie a week ago when I rented it, I'll say that it was a little bit overhyped, but it was still a great movie. I've liked Jesse Eisenberg since Zombieland.

Green Hornet was a really good movie to kick off 2011. Seth and Jay were great in their portrayals of the characters, and the movie was hilarious.

I'm Super excited for this movie, I love JJ Abrams and aliens. I've been following the viral marketing campaign I.E. Rocket Poppeteers and The movie is shrouded in mystery, and that's exactly what makes me want to see it. I had a nerdgasm at the sight of Super 8's Superbowl XLV tv spot. (Packers won by the way :D)

The Hangover II is definitely a movie I'm looking forward to this summer, I loved the first one, and it'll be nice to get another comedy dose of Zach Galifianakis, and Liam Neeson is making a cameo which'll be hilarious.

Green Lantern is hands-down one of my favorite superheroes. This is my most anticipated movie for 2011. And if it's successful, it's been said that DC will try and focus on the more unknown heroes i.e. Flash, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow etc. :D

I'm looking forward to seeing both of these Marvel movies, it'll be exciting seeing the Avengers finally assemble on the big screen.

I'm looking forward to TF3, #2 may have been bad from a critical standpoint, but I still happened to enjoy it, and I hope this one turns out great.

This is shaping up to be a good movie, the trailer looked awesome and Jon Favreau is a great director. Plus, if you don't like Harrison Ford, Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, and Sam Rockwell, then you have no soul! :P

Not too much going on on the music front besides the fact that I found a great rapper on Youtube, his name is Hoodie Allen, you should check out his channel, wearehoodie. Here's one of his songs: Look at What We Started He samples tons of great bands, and his mixtape Pep Rally is free & awesome!

Chuck still remains one of my favorite TV shows, I love the whole Spy/Action/Comedy mesh that this show has, and this season has been great. Don't even get me started on the awesomeness of Jeffster.

Supernatural has been an okay season so far, I think it should've ended on season 5, but it's still pretty good. Sam was not himself for most of the season so far, but when he got his soul back, it was almost instant improvement.

Smallville's in it's tenth and final season, so far it's been decent, but there's waaay too many filler episodes for a final season, I feel that it should be all story and action, not the fluff that we're getting.

The Cape is an okay show, it has it's bumps and bruises, but it's okay. I hope it picks up and gets better, because if it doesn't, this show is definitely going to be cancelled.

Young Justice is a great DC cartoon. It doesn't exactly follow the comics, but I still enjoy it. I also love the inclusion of the new Aqualad, he's a badass character.

Being Human is an Americanized remake of a BBC show of the same title. I like the show a lot, and I hope it goes as far as the original series has.

My Life as Liz made an awesome return to TV tonight on MTV. I love it, it's hilarious, and the drama's pretty good too. Liz seem like an awesome person, and I love her hot nerdyness.

I've finally got caught up on my comics, lemme tell you about them. :P

I got The Walking Dead: Compendium One for Christmas, so far it's pretty great, I'm not finished yet though. My favorite character is Dale, he's an awesome old man.

Red Robin is great as usual, Tim Drake is my favorite Batman related character.

I love Booster Gold, he's my favorite superhero. I'm happy that he finally got over Ted Kord, and when issue #39 showed his grave, it was the most moving thing in comics that I've ever seen, and the same goes for Booster's statement. But in #40, I felt sad for Booster since he got banned from his favorite Sundollar. It was pretty WTF in the end when Rip said Booster has to pay for his crimes in the 25th century, oh well, I'll see what happens later this month.

Usually, Secret Six is hit and miss with me, but this crossover issue with the Doom Patrol was awesome! It was Secret Six v. Doom Patrol, and some major ass was kicked, the end of the fight will be revealed later this month, I'm fine with whoever wins, as long as nobody cool dies.

The Doom Patrol is my favorite super team, I even have their first issue from the 60's! :D Larry "Negative Man" Trainor is my 2nd favorite superhero, his powers are pretty awesome. It was cool seeing them fight cannibals and interact with General Immortus. It'll be even cooler seeing if they'll win in the fight between them and Secret Six. I wonder what'll happen when they get evicted from Oolong Island.

Batman Inc. is pretty good, I like Grant Morrison. My main hate for the series is the art that lies within.

Brightest Day is getting pretty intense. I love the focus on Deadman especially when he spent time with his grandpa. It was also cool seeing Hawkman and Hawkwoman break their curse, but it was also sad seeing the white ring kill them. Things got cool when Aqualad started to embrace his destiny, I'm really taking a liking to him. It sucked seeing Black Manta cut off Aquaman's hand, I hope it doesn't get replace with a harpoon-thing again, because Aquaman was lame like that. It'll be interesting to see how the Aquawar and Brightest Day turn out in the coming months.

Justice League: Generation Lost is one of my favorite new series. It's getting intense, and Max has turned the world on the JLI. Max has now captured Blue Beetle as well and I hope that his death can be avoided. I don't want to see Booster upset again, but maybe if Max kills Jaime, one of the heroes will go **** on him which would be cool.

I'm excited for what Geoff Johns has planned for DC fans, what with Aquawar, War of the Green Lanterns, and Flashpoint. Flashpoint looks to be the most important one, and it's what I'm excited about the most. It's nice to have Barry Allen in the limelight.
