No, but what is Ironic is that IW were the original developers of Medal Of Honor for EA. They left EA to have more creative control and Activision bought them up. Now they're leaving Activision for more creativecontrol and are now being bought up by EA.

But please people should look up the meaning "irony" in a dictionary before totally missusing it.

G-police predated Body Harvest by over a year.

predates Bodycount by over a year. A damn impressive game for the time it came out. Made by the creators of Wipeout Psygnosis. I still have my fingers crossed that there may eventually be a sequel.

Uh ohhhhh I'm getting Halo 3 deja vu.

I guess that's one of the pitfalls of having one of the best looking games of last gen. The expectations of what you can do end up being astronomically high. Halo, Ninja Gaiden and perhaps God of War are good examples of that.

Either way the graphics didn't end up hurting Halo 3 even if alot of people were expecting it to be the premier graphics title on the 360. Even if God of War isn't the most amazing looking game you've ever seen it'll still be a great game.

I wouldn't recommend trying to play it with a kanji dictionary. TO be able to use a kanji dictionary you have to be able to count the strokes in each character and to do that you've got have a very solid understanding of stroke order and how to write kanji. Then to make matters worse the onscreen text is also going to be pretty small.

To the guy who said he majored in Japanese. How can you major in Japanese and only be able to read and write kana?

Did you play the demo by the way? You can get it off the Japanese PSN. There's plenty of info around on how to set up a JP PSN account. You might change your mind after playing it. I was looking forward to this game but the demo was a huge dissapointment. Trust me it the graphics are nowhere near as good as they seem in the trailers they showed.

WW2 was a justified war, WW1 was a pointless slaughter by gun-ho generals who sent good men to die like cattle. not good game material. thegoldenpoo

That's a very good point. One reason WWII is so popular in various medians (Books, film, TV and games) is because there is very little moral ambiguity in it. For the most part it was a very clear cut call of good vs evil. No one would argue that destroying the Nazi's and Hitler was a bad thing.

I don't think games have matured enough thematically to adequatley deal with a more considered and provocative approach on the topic of war. CoD4 is a very good example. If Infinity Ward had chosen any conflict from the last 2 decades or so (e.g. Gulf War, Falklands, Afghan War, 2nd Gulf War, Somalia, Rwanda, Kosovo, Lebanon etc etc.) it would be very highly politicized and would have to be approached in a very responsible manner. So instead they opted for a load hollywood cliches and borderline racist outdated propaganda (i.e. Commies and Arabs are evil.)

WWII is long enough in the past and unambigious enough that making it the sunject of a game is very uncontroversial.

I'm the same as you. Played 1 and 2 but missed 3.

It might be worth reading up a little about MGS3's storyline online somewhere before you play. Not in great detail. Just the essentials will do. If any of the stuff leaves you scratching your head just download the MGS encyclopedia off the PSN. It'll give you any answers you need and also hide any spoilers from you based on your progress in the game.

The gameplay is a little different in MGS4 from previous games. Shooting is now much easier and in general the controls are much much better. The changes are definatley for the better.

If you liked any of the previous games in the series you should definatley check it out. I'm not a huge MGS fan but MGS4 is still one of the best and most powerful games this generation. It screams epicness.

No Wipeout HD? No Pixeljunk games in that list? Also Street Fighter II HD is coming out next week.

For me it's a toss up between Pixeljunk: Eden, Geomatry Wars 2 and Wipeout HD. But I think Wipeout will have to take it just for sheer value for money. I hope to see more mid tier games like that being released.

Has to be Mak. Created Everyday Shooter entirely by himself including learning how to play the guitar to create the music. He didn't spend $180,000 on it.

His next project sounds interesting. He's working with I am a robot.

I'm pretty certain a few of the animations in that showreel were from Splinter Cell. Pulling people through the ice, disarming soldiers and yanking people off platforms.

[QUOTE="Tamashii-sosaku"]

[QUOTE="JLF1"]The TC didn't mention a single Swedish game :cry:JLF1

Dice are Swedish right? I was going to include Mirror's Edge in the list but forgot and left it off. Didn't mean to leave Sweden out. Part of my point was that too often people equate Western games to American games and think they're the same thing. Europe in general doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Come on I was just joking but it is interesting that not a lot of people know that Sweden has done some great games this gen like Mirror's Edge, Bionic Commando: Rearmed, Europa Universalis 3, The Darkness, World in Conflict, Penumbra etc.

Didn't know World in Conflict was developed in Sweden. I totally agree with you not alot of countries outside the U.S. or Japan get their dues when it comes to games. When you actually look into it it's surprising just how great some of the other regions are.
