[QUOTE="ristactionjakso"]I got The Witcher 2, Tales of Vesperia, Lost Odyssey, and Skyrim. The Lost Odyssey is easily the best rpg I have played.

Lost Odyssey is, to me, the best JRPG this generation... once you get past the first city and the action starts to kick in more.

The game had me with the opening war scene lol. I even like the dreams and memories of Kaim. Everything about it brings me back to when rpg's were good.

The opening scene was okay... but the wandering round the first city was just too drawn out... and getting all the dreams for the Achievement without a guide would be practically impossible... there were 3 in the public house for a start.

Loved the ring system in combat as well... shame Mistwalker have abandoned the 360 though.

Theres also infinite undiscovery, havent played it though, but it's exclusive on xbox. JRPG from square enix but real time action.

Yoshi9000

Not their best... it looks like it was rushed to completion to meet a deadline.

Yep - you only start getting skill points when you hit Level 5.

boredom_kills

Which you really should have noticed yourself when you started playing the game...

One thing I have noticed since I started gaming back in the very early 1980's was that your game tastes change as you get older... I used to hate JRPG's but as I've grown older I've started to appreciate them more, whereas I've totally gone off the run and gun First Person Shooter games like COD that require very little thought.

I can still play a good first person game if the story backs it up, like a Bioshock or Deus Ex and recently Borderlands... but it could be that you're gaming tastes are changing.

I believe you have to be online to play Indie titles... certainly the few I downloaded only worked when I was hooked up to the internet.

SaintJimmmy

is this new? because my friend had a large collection of XBLA games including indie titles and he lost internet for a long time so it was all he played

Live titles are fine... but I couldn't play Avatar Golf unless I was online and I only recently bothered to pick up a wireless adaptar.

42 and still playing... just not online... too many whiny brats playing games they're 5 years to young to be buying themselves.

As an all round game FO3 was better, and with the expansions the game can continue after the end.

NV tried a lot of things that didn't really work that well, multiple factions to work with/for to reach the end game but they still involves you doing the smae things in the same places to the same people... some quests never seemed to work, I had a message saying I'd failed a quest the second the new quest added message appeared.

And the ending flat out sucks big time... the GRA weapons are also a little over-powered which ruins the balance.

Typical Obsidian fare really, tinkering with a sucessful game and ballsing up the end... just as they did with KOTOR.

Add to that the expansions for FO3 were way better than NV, Mothership Zeta was a poor FO3 expansion but compared to Dead Money it's up there with the best things ever released.
