Eternal Sonata, Magna Carta 2 and Tales of Vesperia... although I hated the last one I appear to be in the minority.

Nah. My moniter's VGA. I had to buy the AV Audio to 3.5 mm comverter, and the female-female 3.5mm extension to that I can hook up my audio to my surround sound speakers.

When I say surround sound, I'm not talking a legitimate DVD speaker system set up. I mean 4 computer speakers that I rigged up

Maverick6575

Pretty much what I did... without the coupling I rant the audio cables from one set of old gaming speakers and plugged the new set into the headphone socket of that.

I personally kinda hated eternal sonata although many liked it. I found it pretty boring and couldn't even bring myself to finish it.  The combat is aRPG type like the tales games if you've ever played them. Other than that theres not much more to say the combat starts off really simple like too simple because you just run around and spam basic attacks although as you progress through the chapters some extra features are added to the combat to give it more depth. The story was pretty non interesting. I guess if you're into classical music then you'll get a kick out of the game as teh amin characters are named after music terms like allegretto and what not +  story has a a lot to do with dying / dreaming composer if i remember correctly so there's classical music playing throughout the game.

Gen007

the combat is great... when you get further into the game you have to consider whether the character is in light or shade as attacks and powers differ in each, some enemies are tougher in the shade so need to be dragged into the light to weaken them... adds a whole different element to the battle.

To me... Infinite Undiscovery looked like it was rushed, like they hadn't finished polishing the game before they had to release it, Star Ocean starts okay but suffers from horrendous disk swapping later on, Blue Dragon is okay but a little bit kiddified graphically.

If you are down to these three then I can only hope you've already played MAgna Carta 2, Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata which are all better than the three you listed, and then there is Lost Odyssey which is the best JRPG this generation.

Think you'll find that just means the store hasn't got a firm release date... no way would a publisher release a game on new years eve.

Get the anniversary edition with all the DLC and you won't regret it. Sure it looks pretty rough compared to Skyrim but the gameplay is fantastic and it can easily eat up 200+ hours of playtime.

Didn't they have enough problems with reliability without handicapping it like this?
