Just recently got a Xbox360, only owning a PS2 Wii and DS this has understandably opened up a lot of games that I wouldn't have otherwise been able to play; I've been desperate for Oblivion since I played on Morrowind years ago (it's still one of my favorite games to this day, so I know Oblivion is a safe bet) and it's really cheap now, about £13 - £20. On the other hand there's GTA4, likewise I've really enjoyed the previous games but it's not so cheap, and it might still be a little difficult to get hold of.

On the topic of Oblivion, I *could* get the basic game for cheap, but I really like the look of the expansion; but I aren't that interested in playing online games nor can I afford to hook my 360 up to the internet and pay for a Live subscription, so my only option really is the GOTY edition, but thats nearly four times the price of the basic game - does the GOTY edition merit such a price? Would I still need a Live account to use the expansions with a GOTY copy? I'm aware that I won't be able to download content without having my 360 connected but what what does that entail?

Thanks in advance for any help regarding GTA4 or Oblivion :)

By pirate I mean this not bootleg games, of course :) I love pirates and I've got quite a good selection of piratey games, I just wondered what you guys thought the best pirate game was? I'd personally go with Sid Meiers Pirates! or Tropico 2 - Pirate Cove, cause they're my favourites, There's loads out there, if you could advise I stay away from some that'd also be appreciated :)

I want some good old fashioned Rambo style action but I doubt they're ever going to make another Rambo game, what's the closest thing we have then? I was thinking along the lines of Contra because of the sheer mass of killings, or perhaps Far Cry, 'cause of the whole one guy versus a literal army, sadly I've misplaced my Far Cry disk when I want to play it the most, I was thinking of starting over on it :(

I don't understand, what the heck is point? Well I know there are a lot of people out there that love it but whatever I don't care what you have to say I know you love it who cares. What I am saying does anyones else see the pointlessness of it all. Its like steroids in Baseball its just a egotistical pissing match.

"HEY look I can hit my ball over that wall 100 times in one year!!!" forget that you cock is tiny and your head is huge. Online muiltiplayers are pissing matches. Who cares that your level 68 Warrior/Mage/Druid/Paladin/Jedi can be some guy in Japans same level 86 blah blah blah. It really has no point. I understand LAN games maybe you and your friends wanted to play across the neighborhood at midnight or you have a friend on vacation and he wants to kill your Mage, but millions of people going at it 24 hours a day. Christ man where does it end. And doesn't anyone else see that it has no end, so all these people will continue to play and continue to pay.

And what really ERKs me is that the next KOTR is going to be Online only. I love KOTR and they had to go and ruin it GREAT.

Hmm, I have to agree, I don't play that many MMORPG's or many online games for that matter, purely because I prefer local multiplayer, but there's always going to be some people who take things a little too seriously (I know a few people who don't play MMORPG's 24 hours a day, but they do little else) and get too competitive, but I do enjoy playing either co-op modes or in online games where you're not really competing against one another (such as Diablo 2). In my opinion, PvP - bad, working together with people from around the world - good :)
