Hey guys

Im finding it extremely hard to get a game connection above 1 red bar. Its extremely annoying and why i had to stop playing COD4:MW, because i could never find an Australian game or somewhere remotely close. COD:WAW was extremely good at finding games with at least yellow connection and most of the time i got green 3 or 4 bars. This is extremely frustrating and i was wondering if there was a setting i was missing or something that would help me stop getting crap connection.

Thanks

Im looking at getting Rock Band, because of the fantastic things ive heard about it and the downloadable track list but i've noticed that 2 isn't released here yet and there is'nt a bundle with the game and instruments. Would someone be able to tell me when 2 is going to be released in Australia, if you can download all the songs in Australia and whether it would be better to buy Guitar Hero World Tour or 5 and then just get the game by itself.

Thanks a lot

im really looking forward to the release of Bioshock 2, COD:MW2 nad other games released at the end of the year, but does anyone know any good single player FPS to tide me over till then.

I already have Battlefield:BC, Call of Duty 4 and WAW, Bioshock and Fallout 3.

what would be great, if they put that country filter thing in Call of Duty 4. It seems like only americans and others overseas can enjoy that game anymore.

Over the past few months i have been tremendiously busy with school and army cadets that i havnt been able to play xbox that much. Holidays come and i decide to play some Call of Duty: World at War, seeing as it takes me 30-40 minutes to find a Australian game in Call of Duty 4, which usually ends the match after i join.

Nearly every game i join it tells me i need to purchase the new map packs at 800 MS points each, or 1600 MS points together. I bought Battlefield 1943 for 1200 MS points. I got a new multiplayer game for less than i have to pay in order to have a seemless experience with a $100 game ive already paid for.

It might just be me, but the guns you get at the start of WAW seem pityful compared to later guns. You dont get a sniper rifle straight off and all the useful upgrades require you to have tons of kills to unlock. In Call of Duty 4, the MP5, M16 and M40a3 from level 1 and soon after you get the AK-47 and M4 Carbine.

I think Call of Duty World at War has become massively commercial in trying to get you to play as often as possible in order to unlock decent weapons and buy map packs so your gaming experience isn't interupted.

This might just be me, what does everyone else think. I have just found i can no longer pickup either Call of Duty 4 or World at World and have any fun in either multiplayer anymore.

all the advice given about scratched discs is because all these substances full in the scratches and while dont provide accurate or not data for the disc, make the hole small enough for the reader to not hav a heart attack. The best thing to use is standard car polish. Its designed for metallic surfaces which is a lot closer to a CD than wat peanut butter is designed for :P but also most of the "repair scratched disc" packs contain a spray bottle of a substance thats extremely close to car polish if not is car polish itself (inside information) but charge twice to three times as much.

Other solutions can work, this just seems the most logical to me and the 1 i use and has worked well for me for many years.

Its a fun game and fans of COD4 should at least giv it a shot. it provides a more un-realistic but still fun version of COD4. Its quirky, got sum good humour and provides a challenge at points as well as tryin to find the guns within the levels for use in multiplayer. Its somethin different which means it can also be fun. So giv it a shot, if u dun lyk it at least u gav it a try and ur not a worse a person for it :)

i dunno y ppl bag it out so much. Yes it was popular so its bound to hav more ciriticism but while it may not be the best game in peoples opinions its not a bad game by far. Its gots its ups and down and i personally enjoy it occasionally. Its a question of opinion and if u hav got anythin constructive to say, dont say it.

If you plannin to keep the computer for a while and want to stay the latest and greatest, then the quad core would prolly be the way. Also good for multi-taskin but the only person ive eva known to use that feature to the max played MMO's and wanted to stay online and play another simultaneously. There are very little games that would approach the max power of a quad core proccessor, so its really for a future purchase, but if you goin to do that, its prolly best to wait for the i7. As i understand with the new hyperthreading, it effectively gives the representation of 8-core processing so it would be well worth the wait and its not the most expensive thing with the 2.83ghz model commin out at $500 i believe (might be american actually now that i think about it).

If your just standard gaming and usage, stick with the dual. If your a heavy gamer or want this cimputer to really last, go for the quad, but prolly best to wait for the i7 to get the best value for money.

when you re-install format your harddrive and start completely fresh. Re-install all drivers and make sure there the latest certified drivers. You could tryin goin back a few versions and see if you get better performance. Make sure you've got ur chipset drivers installed as well, thats something i forget when i re-install windows and it slows down everythin. I know it can be quite a simple thing, but make sure none of ur files have viruses. No point in re-installin windows if u just gonna put the virus bak on, which ive also done. Other than that if its not workin, its very un-likely it would be a software issue, so thats wen u go bak to the store and say this computer isnt doin wat its suppoed to, fix it.

Thats wat i would do anyway :P
