ACM is basically a FPS from 2003. Awkward, linear and the low res cut scenes confuse me. Why in this day in age with all the technology that we have at our fingertips that a game like this gets made so badly? They had great material to work with and a ( be it not the most cutting edge) engine that has proven itself to be stable on multiple platforms. I would assume programming using the UR3 engine is not too hard for someone who is in the industry. I believed the hype that the guys over at gearbox were true fans of the Aliens world. That they would work on creating that world to appease their supposed fandom. Continuing the story of LV426 and the struggle of a merciless mega corp sending in unassuming marines to slaughter for their personal gain sounded like more of the same but cool. I was on-board. I was a teenager in the 90”s so I have all the Dark horse Aliens comics ,watched all the movies and bought the games. I even had an Atari Jaguar with AvP. So I consider myself a fan of the franchise and I have no delusions that I could make a better game hell I have problems making dinner. But I do not believe that they are true fans in the way they prorated themselves in the interviews. How could a fan do this to something they love? Was it because of their investors were putting pressure on them to get the game out? I don’t think so because it was delayed a few times. I get it that this is just entertainment and I should just take it for that but this is something I was looking forward to for a few years. I do feel cheated for buying it at full pop on Stem. This game being so bad is my fault now because I bought it.
