...only for the Blu-ray though... I bought a HD-DVD player 2 weeks ago and when Warner's announced they would be going with Blu-ray, I took back my HD-Player and bought a PS3... Never did I think I would be buying one ... funny because I don't have any games with it... I will prolly pick up MGS and Resident Evil when they come out... but anyway, since the war is bascially going to be over now since Blu-Ray will have 70% of the major studios behind the format, it seemed that PS-3 was the way to go. Still so strange for a hardcore gamer to pick up a PS3... lol.

Duke Nukem Forever? I was an embryo when that game was announced, and I fought WW1.

What's the game going to be based on? The Atari E.T. engine?

Bragging about it? First.... I am a graduate student at Johns Hopkins University .... Masters in Government- HOMELAND SECURITY.... I will be working in the intelligence apparatus one day... I am hardly some kind of hippy.

Bragging? It's called being proud of an organization that I served proudly... so do Marines brag when they have semper fi tatooed on their arms? Is bragging when someone goes to their favorite sports event wearing their teams jersey? No, it's called taking pride in one's work in an organization...

How did this game score a 9.0?

The gameplay is so generic and empty. Things run at you and you have to shoot them without being shot. So many other games have done this and done it better. What makes Gears anything special?

You can't even save the game without signing up for some Xbox crap. I will never contribute to anything Xbox so I'm not allowed to save the game...that's retarded. This is the opposite of what PC gaming is about. You're supposed to be able to play the game the way you see fit. Xbox is destroying gaming by dumbing down games in this fashion.

The voice acting and story is the worst I've seen in any game. Far Cry's Jack Carver now seems like a virtual Tom Hanks by comparison... "Are you the Marcus Phoenix?" "Yeah" "Cool" "Not Really..." I feel like I'm playing something aimed at 11-year-olds...and if it isn't aimed at kids that young it's INSULTING to the audience...that's how bad the story and acting are.

What it all comes down to is the game isn't fun to play.

Gamespot has lost any shred of respect I had for their reviews.

yeah, stop being being such a lamer. the game is excellent... the introduction of the mechanics of ducking and covering should be used in more games... i think it's one the best games ever made... i can't wait for a sequel... not to mention, Epic went out of their way to add new stuff for the PC game... how is that bad?
