Final Fantasy 7 remake going to the 360 would be almost impossible due in part that FF 7 is own by Sony also.(this was before Square started publishing their own games).Solidus_Mute

I don't think Bill Gates' bank account cares who owns what.

it's strange how fanboys and people online think that CEOs or corporate figureheads are somehow as fanboy as they are. You don't think Miyamoto has a PS3 and 360? Dont' you think that Kaz Hirai has a 360 and Wii? Don't you think Bill Gates has a limited edition PS9 and the Nintendo mind machine?

The game industry isn't a bunch of people waving their dongles around, it's just a show to convince people on the fence to buy their product. All of them are friends, for the most part, and enjoy the challenges / successes other developers have in advancing the medium.

The US release will be PSN chapter-only installments. The JPN and Asian releases are the full story on a blu-ray.

As for my impressions, I wasn't very excited by it. I'm really sick of "horror" games thinking that because there are 3 pixels on the screen that actually have light that it is scary. I don't like ruining a game by jacking up the gamma to max so I can actually see items but I also do not like to strain my eyes all over the screen to see if I missed something.

The controls were a bit wonky for me and the graphics seemed a little last gen (the least important factor). I did love the transitions and the menu GUI...those are both fantastic and add tons of flavor to the game.

[QUOTE="319ni"]no , i bought one and went to the shop to change my 2 games ( motorstorm and resistance ) and i really struggled to get anything, settled for fear and all good but wait mate RandomTask221

You traded Resistance and Motostorm for Fear?...that seems like a waste. Btw, offtopic: does Resistance have voice chat options?

Only options for voice chat is to select your device and what level input/output to function at.

I think the PS3 is very worth it, especially if you have an HDTV. You get the blu-ray plus games. A friend of mine left his 360 at my house for over a month. I played it maybe 3-4 times for gears of war. I downloaded a ton of demos and tried them all out to quickly realize that most of the ones that "looked good," sucked horribly. The ones that were decent were multi-plat w/ the ps3.

With all the ps3's multimedia capabilities so easily accessible, I can't encourage enough how useful a system it is. Pictures, music, browser, movies (BR), videos converted for ps3, so much greatness. There aren't alot of games out right now but soon it should change. IMO, I'm loving it because I'm a huge MK2 fan (which keeps me entertained) and having a good group to play Resistance with, also keeps the fun factor alive.

I got resistance off ebay a month after launch for $45 iirc. Ebay is definitely the place for games. Just look at feedback, if someone has tons of transactions and very very few negatives, you should be fine as long as you aren't illiterate. Most people complain about ebay cuz they couldn't read something clear on the auction like "this unit is defective" or "broken, use for parts".

the scoring system is just winning streaks. It doesn't really score anything. Though a handful of names at the top of the leaderboards really do have skills, the majority are people that just had a friend continuously lose as they racked up wins.

for real, someone that hacks an account goes for damage not post a thread like that with very likely update information. From 1.7-2.0 the details of the update seem very legit. The amount of backtracking all of a sudden has been like if someone violated a NDA. Leah's also been the person to always pre-update post the details of the update before it is announced.

I say there's a good 70% chance of it being real.

MK2 is definitely greatness. It is almost all I play on my PS3 nowadays. It has taken over any urge I may have to resistance.

I've had resistance do that to me before. It'd just freeze during loading and leave a black screen. I could hear myself opening the PS menu and moving through it but it won't accept quitting game (even though I can't see it, I know where it is). I've come to the conclusion that it was a result of a dirty disc. The 2 times it has happened to me, I ejected the disc to find that the last person handling it, left nice big thumbprints all over the disc.
