Not in terms of how they are devoloped, but doesnt Black Ops look better than WoW? Play better than WoW? Have a better overall structure than WoW? It really annoys me how people have to compare WoW to everything.

Since when I was 7 and playing the first EverQuest to playing MMO games today with amazing capability like Vindictus, I've always wondered why people play these games when they can be playing console games, which provide better controls, graphics, gameplay, basically everything. Pretty much all console games have multiplayer, too. And they also aren't as linear as most MMOs are. I asked myself that question and I just couldn't think of that much of a logical answer. Uh, MMOs are addicting? Sure. Other games can be too. Open? Well, other games can do that, too. Less of a death penalty? Too minor, I was running out of ideas. So I ask you, Game Spot community, why do you think people spendsix hours a day on these MMO's when they could be playing Call of Duty: Black Ops?
