I just bought the PS2 version of Half-Life and read that it was USB keyboard & mouse compatible.. does anyone know of any other games that have similar compatibility? It's kind of cool to be able to use alternate controls like that.. especially for games ported from the PC.

Update: I just picked up Half-Life today and it is USB keyboard & mouse compatable. I used a wireless mouse and a regular keyboard and it worked just great-- pretty cool feature for a port of a PC fps!

I currently own 28. I trade mine in when I get tired of them.

I'm tempted to give it a 10. It's one of the best games I've played on the ps2, and the camera perspective is very original while in aiming mode. That mixed in with interactive cutscenes, unlockable minigames, and realistic combat physics (aim for the legs and watch them fall!) makes this a fantastically fun and replayable game. I hated the other RE games. This one is also very challenging. I've beat it 4 times and counting.

Future Perfect is by far my favorite, and I've played all three.

God of War is extremely entertaining and very easy to pick up and play. If you're into fast-paced first-person shooters, Time Splitters: Future Perfect has an INSANE ammount of unlockables and is very fun on easier difficulty levels.

Then again, you'd be very safe with the games you've already listed.. I plan on getting Metal Slug Anthology soon myself.

I got my ps2 about a year ago.. the first game I remember buying was GTA: San Andreas. I may have bought others with it, but GTA: SA was the only game I played for at least a month. I got it for $5 used. I was blown away!

My Recommendations are...

- Resident Evil 4

Amazing 3rd-person shooter set in a dark, horrific environment.

- GTA: San Andreas

The most free-roaming and gigantic game I have ever played.

- God of War

One of the absolute best action games I've ever played.

- God of War II

The sequel to God of War matches its predecessor in almost every way.

- Jak & Daxter: The Precurser Legacy

A fun and challenging platformer from Naughty Dog.

- Jak II

Jak goes all GTA on us, but the result is a very fun, long, but occasionally frustrating game.

- Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time

Amazing mix of platforming and adventure game.

- Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

Great sequel is more violent and adult-themed than before, but it delivers the goods and an improved combat system.

- Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones

Similar to Warrior Within, but featuring added stealth gameplay and the Prince's dark persona to play with.

- Devil May Cry

Like an old Resident Evil game, but FAST, frantic, and with fantastic controls.

- Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition

Very hard game, but also incredibly stylish and rewarding.

- Tomb Raider: Anniversary

A classic with a PoP-type makeover. More fun than one has ever had with Lara before.

- Onimusha 3: Demon Seige

Resembling Devil May Cry more than Resident Evil, this game is fun and features some of the most jaw-dropping cgi on the ps2 system yet.

- Burnout 3: Takedown

Finally, a greatly fun racing game for those who don't even like racing. It's that good.

Bad Boys: Miami Takedown... I would try to explain its awefulness, but I don't have any idea where I would begin!

Also avoidable - Shadow The Hedgehog. It has the worst aiming system for a 3-D shooter/platformer that I've ever experienced, and would have benefitted greatly by allowing the player to backtrack and try out new story paths without completely restarting the game.  FRUSTRATING!!
