@knyght1008 @SteveTwo I know eh! What a great time to increase greed: during a global recession. I'm gonna end up buying a new 360 and PS3, keep them in their boxes until the consoles I have completely die, then crack open the new systems and get another generation out of them. LOL
This is just great. Now because of M$'s greed, all of the game developers and publishers are going to want to double dip EVERYTHING. There goes the industry.
@jd7904 They should. Good thing is that if both M$ and Sony are double dipping used games, then there's always the Wii-U. I'd rather get a One or PS4 (if there wasn't this problem) but ultimately games are games and I don't mind getting a Wii-U as a last resort.
I just picked this up today (Xbox version). I just put it down after a few hours of playing it. This game is insanely good! Beautiful graphics and lighting with an excellent, tense story (so far). It's also got great controls and it's FUN, although it has a serious tone, which really adds to the awesomeness.
I haven't really played any of the other TR games in years (probably PS1, LOL) so I don't have much to compare to, but this game is a wonderful, cinematic experience with great gameplay. I hope they continue with this style of TR on next-gen consoles. I'm already sold on a sequel. AMAZING GAME. Worth the $50, hands down. Make another, Crystal Dynamics. :)
@Gears_0f_L0ve Same here. If I can't play without the Kinect (not attached to the console) then no Xbox One for me. If they try to force us to use the Kinect, then I'll get a PS4 (even though I'd rather get an X-One for the controllers, Halo, etc).
Then again, the PS4 looks like it has those Move cameras, too. If Sony is smart, they won't make those cameras mandatory either. If both systems are stuck with "always on" cameras, then I'm getting a Wii-U and putting tape over the tablet controller's camera... and even that creeps me out. WTF is with all these next-gen systems with the cameras? I might skip the next-gen entirely now that I think about it! LOL
