PS: I'm not saying this couldn't have been good or be good in other peoples eyes. Just that the fact that Bethesda didn't develop it was enough to set off my alarm, maybe because of Arkham Origins being still fresh on my mind
A score of Fair was pretty much what I had in mind. I'm biased and decided not to play even before I heard details of the game but it never seemed like an Elder Scrolls game to me. It feels more like a generic MMO with TES slapped on rather than a TES game in the MMO genre of games. But I also feel the RPG elements of TES have been systematically removed with the latest entries to the series. To me this is a further watered down TES with multiplayer. No thanks.
I think it's worth pointing out to prospective buyers that David Wise has returned and he has done it again by composing the entire masterful soundtrack to DKCTF. Not that this review is in favor of the game but still.. David effin Wise!
Personal attacks are never okay and GS can rate their games whatever they want. But it's hardly like they weren't aware the review would generate a lot of buzz.
Yeah it's a sad day for gaming when this makes news. They even explicitly state that THIS time they will not nickel-and-dime you with microtransactions.
