Personally I think playing PC is a big advantage over the consoles for this game (as well as 2033). Also, a lot of people gave it poor reviews without playing it based on the DLC controversy.

Game doesn't pick up until you meet Elizabeth, IMO.

I agree. I'm at battle rank 11 or 12, but only get on when I'm really bored and felt this way since 7 or 8. The large scale maps and battles were exciting but the gun play really isn't. The rewards and guns are blah and the fact that there is no permanent goal or victory means that doing the same capture or be captured routine gets old fast because it just doesn't feel very important or rewarding. I've tried several different guns through trialing and they all look the same. Not a bad game, but definitely won't hold my attention for much longer.

[QUOTE="sbdb"]

. I've never been so confused by mass appeal for a 'bad' game since the Metro 2033 incident. Although, this is a thousand times better than Metro but still not going to hold my interest for very long. I will admit it though, I am rather picky when it comes to games. Glad you guys are enjoying it though.

Metro 2033 is actually a very good game, minus the frustrating and poorly done stealth sections. Not really sure how you can call a game bad if it has mass appeal, stating that it didn't appeal to you is much different. If you don't like this game or Metro 2033 it would seem to me that outdated graphics/polish is your gripe, which has never been an issue for me.

I have to agree, along with thousands of others, that there is no replay value. Maybe if you never played Diablo 2 there is nothing to compare it to and you will be happy. In D2 I made over 30 characters I would guess and leveled them all over 80. In D3, I've made 2 level 60's and the thought of making another character is sickening. I got the game on release day and I haven't played in a couple weeks. I did get 130 hours out of the game, but I've gotten more than that out of single player games with non repetitive mechanics and enjoyed them better, too.

I understand the complaint. People who say it's not a big deal because it's meant to be played online don't understand that it doesn't matter. You should be able to play it offline if you want, as I at least got a couple characters to nightmare in Diablo 2: LoD when I had no access to internet (traveling, no wi-fi, etc). That being said, I will probably still buy the game because a lot of my friends are, and I'm a big fan of D2.

Astro Boy: Omega Factor

Fire Emblem

Gunstar Super Heroes

Metroid Fusion

Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga

Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow

All get my highest recommendation.
