I watched the first movie because I have to give everything the chance to surprise me--even when I'm certain I'll hate it. Sometimes, I'm pleasantly surprised. Twilight did not surprise me with anything but its low budget and poor acting. I have heard New Moon is a good movie, if you watch it as a comedy, but I've only seen the part where Bella gets backhanded across the room. And really, what else do I need to see?
If I hadn't already gotten the DSi, I might have waited for the XL, mainly for battery life and screen size. I don't know if the lack of portability would bother me, but for some reason, I like the feeling of a portable system in my pocket. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but I've always enjoyed having a Game Boy or a DS right there--never did get a PSP. Maybe next generation.
What it all comes down to is opinion. This thread, obviously, isn't for people who are interested in the game. And you know something? I'm okay with that. It's not going to be for everyone, and I just happen to be one of the people who are interested. If people don't want to play it, they don't have to. Don't worry about it, gang.
I don't have a DS, but I already have a GBA SP, so the backward compatibility issue with me doesn't exist. Still, I think I'm gonna have to wait a few months. Money's tight now, so I'll have to hold off. Besides, I heard there were minor issues with early-model DS Lites, and that's an issue I'd like to avoid.
The scene kind of made me laugh. It was in the graphic novel, though... apparently. I haven't read it yet, because the only one I've seen so far was a $50 hardcover edition... But anyway, it didn't really bother me.
It's not just teenagers. My college dorm is also full of morons. Of course, I got stuck in the "party" dorm, so that's probably got something to do with it.
I personally like Batman a lot more, but much as I hate to say it, Superman's pretty much got every superpower out there, and that's totally rad. I couldn't turn that down.
