@mathi4s Even to date at just under 2 months post release, the game is still broken despite being patched. Save files don't disappear any, but the game mechanics are possibly in worse shape than ever before. There are still no working online features. Through the Retrospect-O-Meter, Gamespot's 5.0 rating is still looking very accurate.

@Guest1001 I totally agree with you.

The problem with feminism is that it doesn't send a clear message. Championing women's right is the ultimate goal, but every feminist has their own interpretation of how that should occur. Feminists have massive differences of opinion within their own movement. Unfortunately, this means that a casual feminist might take some points from one feminist side and points from another side, eg women should not be objectified vs. women should not let society dictate who they should be. The result is an unclear mess of ideas that contradict each other at every turn.

What I disagree with about gender equality is that it doesn't work the same way for men as it does for women. The rights of women are discussed and enforced in all sections of society in which their is a perceived inequality for women. It doesn't exist for men. Fifty years ago, men dominated medical profession, a highly coveted profession. Nowadays, through awareness and initiatives, women now dominate the scene in a 60:40 ratio. No one complains about that, just like no one complains that a lot of the enemies you kill are male.

@DarkRaven0021 @SPUDIRL3 @drwaldy I'm surprised you even managed to read the article--I mean, it's not like the title was misleading. Oh... wait, you didn't read the article because you would have known the article was about geology in a game. Say what? That's a 100% relevant article right there.

But yeah, you're right, this article isn't essential to learning. Go read a textbook on calculus if you want essential learning.

We're all here to be entertained or updated about games (which, if you haven't understood yet, is a non-essential life item). I liked this article--it was different.

Anyway, sucks be you if you're still reading this. It's really your fault that you opted to read a boring article.

@roosteraxe1 Blaming mental illness is easy because it's 1) difficult to identify, 2) difficult to treat and 3) because it removes responsibility from anyone and anything. Think about when you're sick from work: "Oh, he's sick, he won't be held responsible if he doesn't come to work." Mental illness is the exact same thing: "Oh, well he had mental issues and no one identified it, this would never have happened if he'd had proper treatment." That's just taking responsibility away from the murderer.

If only mental illness were easy to treat, then investing in mental health would be a bygone conclusion. Unfortunately, it's not: it's a wishy washy field with more opinion than research. While raising mental health awareness isn't a bad thing, by itself, it won't even come close to fixing the issue of mass shootings.

@CptJohnnyRico @Devils-DIVISION Wait, wait, I lived in a rough neighbourhood, and I saw kids that played violent video games who didn't commit acts of violence. I totally don't see where you are coming from. Also, I don't give a damn what you say.

@Chipster_B @NaturallyEvil @Sandro7 @raweewat Too right. The maturity ratings are there for other forms of media as well--TV, film. It should take 5 seconds to check if a video game is broadly suitable for your child. To be honest, while I think education is always important, it's probably better spent in some other areas (like healthcare, or secondary school education) instead of this reactionary pork barrelling politics.
