@azrulshahimy Well, fans kinda tried that with the newest Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom III game, and they still didn't get Megaman! It would be fun if Namco released Gon later as a DLC character.

Since they really went the extra mile for all those characters, wouldn't it have made sense to put in Gon from Tekken 3? Maybe I'm just being picky at this point...otherwise, the game is awesome and bloody fun

@PayneKiller Gon was his name. He was a Japanese comic book hero at the time. He's the only character absent in the series as of right now

@lamech777 You should buy Tekken 5 for PS2. It has the arcade games of the first 3 included! I'm sure it's only like $20 at your local game store or pawn shop. I hope they release it to the PSN store as well though

@DarthLod Well, I think that what you have to say has a lot of validity and merit to it, but I think that that's exactly what developers and gamers want now is a much more intricate fighting game. And, as far as controllers go, I've been playing Tekken since the PS1 days and I've enjoyed the game highly with the standard controller. In fact, when I've gone to the arcade (on the rare occasion that I have), I've found that I can pull off most of the moves that I usually do there as well.

To respond to your SF 2 simplicity, they have remade that game for those of you that do love those games and you can play people like that online so I don't see exactly where your critique is coming from. Even SF fans have moved on to SF 4 and whatnot, and the game really does thrive. It's an amazing game that really requires skill in a similar manner that SF 2 does.

If you mean to say that, "We'll never see a SF 2," then you're probably right. We're moving past those games because everything's becoming much more complex. Look at the movies, tv shows, games that are now on. They resemble sticky morality (a la Breaking Bad), big politics (a la Metal Gear Solid), To fans, it would just be lazy if they kept making the same fighting game over and over and over again with little to no variation. Who wants to buy "Tekken #" when it's the exact same as the last one? Well. Nobody is going to spend their money on that. They'll keep their previous game and not buy the newer ones. It will only attract newer players. The same can be said with the SF series. Albeit, they have been re-releasing the same game with new characters, they kept you coming back FOR those characters. Whether you think that Capcom was doing this for a cash crop is a moot point because they're moving past simplicity into more complex play.

It's nice to take a look back to where we have been and take a look at the greats (Mortal Kombat 3 and the like), but there are some really great newer fighters out there, and I don't think that I'm stressing my case too far as to say that you're really missing out if you're not giving them a shot. They're a blast to say the least especially if you love the skill of video games.

@deadkingdg @GreySeven I agree that they should make more games and make them more regularly, but look how the game industry has CHANGED since the early 2000s and 90s. It's very different. You have all these flashy visuals, HD rendering that takes forever, and a massive fanbase that wants their game NOW. This puts pressure on those that make games. With all of these things included and more, it necessitates more time to make them. It blows, but boy, was StarCraft 2 worth the wait for me. All the units came alive and it has a kickass multiplayer with all the mods that you can ever want. You got no complaints from me, mate.

@BalkanBoyo Well, when you say it like that explicitly, is a 1V1 match just blob vs. blob anyway? What the guy here is calling strategy is the units that you make here. It's still strategy but without the micro here. It sounds exciting because it's just you trying to outwit your opponent because the AI is taking control of your units. I'm not sure what you mean by strategy, but I'm sure that there is some going on in all of the games. Cheers
