So tomorrow is the first day of school....

Man, this summer went by way too fast.

I didn't really go anywhere this summer. I was either at home playing videogames or at the park playing basketball. Doesn't sound too exciting but it was fun. Alot more fun than school will ever be anyway.:P

I'm going to be a junior in high school this year and I'm definitley not looking forward to the heavy workload I'm bound to recieve. Many people are telling me it's the most imortant year in high school and that free time will be almost nonexistant. Hopefully I'll get through this school year with flying colors.

I'll have my thoughts on the first day of school up by tomorrow for anyone who's interested. :)

My most anticipated game! (probably ever)

I know I made a blog a little while ago about my most anticipated titles this year but I just wanted to emphasize the game I'm the most hyped for. Here it is:

That's right, it's Gears of War 2! Now some of you may be wondering why I'm so excited for this game and here are a couple reasons:

  • Multiplayer (MP) /Gameplay
- Optimized netcode for minimal lag and smooth, consistent performance
- More MP characters
- More/tweaked weapons
- Ability to use downed enemy as sheild
- Ability to crawl/ask for help once downed
- New execution moves
- 5 vs. 5 online
- New matchmaking system with inclusion of parties
- Vastly improved screen shot feature during online play; ability to upload and score
- MP bots, with various degrees of difficulty
- New modes; including the highly anticipated Horde mode (upto 5 players online against 50 waves of enemies)
- Tweaked cover/roadie system (over 400 modifications, apparently)

  • Graphics/Performance
- Improved lighting and draw distance
- Multiple enemies on screen (20+) to truly simulate a war-type setting
- Said to run about 30% more efficient than the original

  • Storyline/Singleplayer (SP)

- Quoted to be "longer than the original"
- Deeper story, more background information on characters
- Continues with hectic [2-player] co-op experience

GOTY confirmed? :D This looks like it's going to be one hell of a game and I can't wait for November 7th.

Anyone else as hyped as me for this game? If not, then what's your most anticipated this game this year?

The Dark Knight

This is the best movie I've ever seen in my life. It's amazing. It's stunning. It's breathtaking. I can go on and on but these words just can't do this film any justice. Yes, it's that good.

If you haven't seen this movie yet or don't feel like it's worth your time, then you'll be missing out on something special because this isn't just another superhero movie. Whether you're a hardcore Batman fanatic or a casual movie goer, this film is for you. The only thing that had me feeling bummed when I was leaving the theater was the fact that Heath Ledger will never be able to reprise the role of The Joker. His performance stole the show. He was brilliant in almost everyway.

I reccommend this film to everyone and I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

My rating : 10/10

Going to see Dark Knight today

So in a couple of hours I'll be heading out with a friend, my brother and my cousin to see Dark Knight. Hopefully it'll live up to the hype.

I'll post my thoughts on it tomorrow or a little later in the week.

I'm going to be broke by the end of the year....

After watching all three conferences I decided to make a list of my most anticipated titles. Note: All thse games are coming out this fall and winter.

Wow, I'm going to be a very poor gamer by the end of the year :(

Back from my suspension

So I was suspended for 7 days for flaming but now I'm back. Luckily, I managed to catch all three E3 conferences but it seems I didn't get the emblem for Nintendo. :?

I can say that I'm really satisfied with what was announced by Microsoft at their conference. The new co op mode in Gears of War 2, new Dashboard and Final Fantasy 13 are excellent news. The other two confernces had their fair share of surpirses (GTA on DS and M.A.G. for ps3) but I'm really disappointed by the lack of any real games shown by Nintendo. Wii Sports Resort and Wii Music are fine but what about some actual games?

All in all, this was a pretty "meh" E3.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone out there. I hope you guys enjoyed 2007 as much as I did and I wish you the best of luck in 2008.
