@livedreamplay: It's not about bashing consoles. It really depends on how much you enjoy your gaming experience and how much you can afford. If you want to become completely immersed in a game, then go with a PC. You'll spend a little bit more but your overall gaming experience will be logarithmically improved. A casual gamer will most likely be satisfied with sub-par graphics that the consoles offer. Gaming consoles are a good entry point. If gaming is your hobby then a console will never do.
@Zero_Maniac: 1080p is not plenty unless you're anchored to a console. Visually, the step up beyond 1080p is so dramatic I would never go back. If you like pixelated graphics then stick with 1080p or below. If you want truly stunning graphics then you'll want to venture beyond 1080p. Also, Nvidia G-Sync technology is game changing!
@OneStrong2 I compare PC games to movies. If you want to watch a movie with superb graphics (video) quality then you invest in Blu-Ray and an HD TV. If you want to watch a movie with poor graphics (video) then you watch a movie on DVD or VHS tape on a 32" tube TV. The Xbox and Playstation platform is equivalent to watching a movie on DVD (or worse) on a non-HD TV.
Yes, this is one fantastic sequel! The graphics are exceptional as is the game-play. You poor console players can turn the graphics down. Meanwhile, I'll be playing it on Ultra!
